As expected yesterday was a repeat of the day before. Taught up intil 7 something, ate dinner, stayed up later than I should have, am exhausted. 

Have a webinar today I am not prepared for. Got to get ready for that first thing.

ANA Y3 D63

Because of my class yesterday there really isn't much to write about. I taught all the way until 7:25pm. My morning was nothing exciting. I hate these classes. No time to do anything in the morning, too tired to do anything at night. By the time we were done with dinner and sihes it was 8:30. We pretty much went to bed shortly after. C has to be at the hospital today for her grandfather. He's having lung surgery and she's heading out in a few to be there with her mom and sisters. She doesn't know how long she will be there either unfortunately. I got up early with her to help her out the door but I now have 5.5 hours until I teach. Fun.

Saturday:

We left the house around 7:30 and rolled into GR about 9:30. The drive was empty and fun. We don't have any problems driving ever. Two hours flies by for us. We parked at the hotel so we didn't have to move the car. We got to the convention center around 9:45, fiftenn minutes to open, and oh my there was a line of at least 150 people. I thought we'd be doing okay but apparently so did everyone else. Once the doors opened it was about a 5 minute process to get inside. They were smart and scanned tickets in line to make it easier. The conference was incredible. We chose to walk up and down every aisle before buying anything. We ended up getting a new oil painting, an octopus in a jar, a raccoon skull, a small print of a demon nun, and a full on taxidermed raccoon. His name is Morty. He is the best. We love him so much. 

Went back to the hotel and had to wait. We had lunch while we waited and it was wonderful. Got checked in around 2, then hit the streets. We ended up stumbling into an EDM concert in the park where we won some prizes at a pot booth. Then we found ourselves in the middle of a Columbian street festival where we had beer and tequila. Plus I had a pina colada in a pina! That was fun. 

We had scooters and bebopped all around on them. We got cookies. We ended up at noodlepig around 6, rode scooters some more, stopped into a speakeasy for drinks, got back to the hotel around 8:30 and collapsed. It was such a wonderful day. Everything we needed. We need to live there so bad. We felt great everywhere we went. We talked to so many people and had great adventures. I needed it.

Yesterday we left around 8 and got home at 10am. Nothing exciting to report because bleh, we were back here. We unpacked, played games, watched tv, went to bed.

I teach this week 11:30-7:30 which sucks but it is what it is.

 We had the most incredible day yesterday. I'm on mobile so it's hard to type it all out. I will do a full update and include pics tomorrow. I promise.

I have the worst sore throat this morning. I woke up in the middle of the night with it. Wasn't hurting when we weent to bed but now it's killing me. We went to a friend's house last night that has children in it and I swear to god if I got some ligering things from those crotch goblins I will be pissed.

Worked on random stuff yesterday, went to said friend's for a BBQ, got home around 10, went to bed. I woke up at midnight from a dream with the kid in it and there was a text from her telling me she was safe. Turns out there was another big fire in her area. What a shock. I am glad she is safe. 

Today we are off to Grand Rapids for the oddities conference and a weekend away. I have been looking forward to this for a while. We need this time out of the house.

Long day yesterday. Taught all the way until 5pm, made dinner, finished season 3 of Evil. Bed time. Seriously. No time for anything else. There has to be more to life than this. I know I am not alone but sheesh. It just never ends does it? All day work no time for self. Live to work. Bleh.

Very sleepy this morning. Didn't stay up too late, was in bed by 10:30 but had a rought night of sleep. Woke up a few times during the night. Don't know why.

Taught all day. Finsihed around 4:40, made gnocchi for dinner. Watched tv. Played games. More of the same today. Just making it to the weekend when we're going out of town.

Nothing exciting to discuss today. Awesome thunderstorm last night which was cool. We had all the windows and drapes open. It was right on top of us at one point. Shook the house. Luckily it as nice earlier in the day and we managed to BBQ some burgers. Teach the next two days.

I do try to make sure I capture histroical events in this blog for future generations to read. Well, yesterday was one of the most historic things ever to happen in my life. Biden has chosen to not run for re-election. The entre election in 106 days is up for grabs by the worst people ever to walk this earth. We are scared shitless of what this means. Reading that last night was incredible and scary and wow. Who knows what direction this world will be taking now. We fear for our lives and our freedom. God help us all.

Good and productive day yesterday. Productive enough that I have little to do today. Which is good. We moved a bit slow in the morning but then in the afternoon we got it in gear. We went to my favorite antique store and found a glorious lizard for the wall. One of the kind you see all over Mexico. Reminds me of when I want to Cabo. We don't know where it will go on the wall yet, but it is wonderful. We then treated ourselves with a little sundae as a pre-dinner treat. We did it so we didn't go crazy at the new noodle place we tried. Dinner was awesome. I had Hawaiian Udon and C had Yakiudon. Both were fabulous. When we got home I didn't want to just sit so I ended up mowing both the front and back lawns so I don't have to do them today. Then we settled in and watched a movie. We watched Wanted as C has never seen it. Went to bed around 11.

Nothing to do today except some laundry. Making steaks for dinner. I teach three days next week which is good.

Hell yeah! Had some good sleeping! Went o bed around 1am and just got up. That's what Friday and Saturday is for dammit! We stayed up late playing video games and it was nice.

Went to the store yesterday morning. Worked on work stuff. Made more flatbread pizzas for dinner to use up the ingredients still in the fridge, watched some tv. Nothing exciting, but that's okay!

We are going to my favorite antique store later today and then trying out a new ramen place for dinner. Those are our only plans!

Up early to get shit done. Payday. Grocery store. Shit to be done.

B was officially served last night by our mutual friend who is a notary so it's all fancy stamped. I should get the scanned copy today, upload it to the system, and get on a judge's docket. Once we see the judge, we wait 60 days and boom, we're divorced. So by October at the latest hopefully. Nice.

Worked on stuff. Made sloppy joe's for dinner with poutine. Watched TV. Played games. Went to bed. Nothing exciting.

ANA Y3 D51

Good news everyone! Our divorce was accepted by the court!! Now, our friend is going to serve B, send me the completed summons, I upload that, we get on the judge's docket, we have a zoom meeting where they say okay, and viola. It is done. I will be divorced by the end of the year at the latest. MI has a 60 day period from the time the petition is entered until the time you're actually divorced. Plus 21 days for the summons. Which means we're looking at 81 days from yetserday minimum. That puts us mid-October. Realistically it will be end of the month by the time we actually see a judge. That's what they told us yesterday at the court. Hopefully it will go faster but, it's still a plan and a path.

We also stopped by one of the banks and closed our accounts there. That's done too now. One less thing to deal with going forward. We had a whopping $60 left in that bank so not a big deal. Just wanted it gone. 

Spent the rest of the day in meetings and emails. Made a chicken for dinner. Watched a movie and went to bed. It's finally going to be tolerable outside today. Both of us had splitting headaches all night from the weather being crazy. Only 2 more months until fall.

Up early today. Going to court this morning. Going to get this divorce filed even if it kills us. Wish me luck.

More of the same yesterday. Nothing exciting going on. Some work stuff. Hotter than balls. Had a headache all day from the pressure outside. Weather sucks.

ANA Y3 D49

I have a bad headache this morning. It started raining some time during the night and the pressure is getting to me. Woke up at 4 something with pouding. Fell back to sleep until 6 but it's still killing me. Couple more months until fall and things outside will be better. Of course the minute I start enjoying the weather, fall will be upon us.

So on the 27th we're going to Grand Rapids for the oddities expo. Originally we planned to just go for the day because C normally works on Sundays. She checked her schedule yesterday and surprisingly she has the 28th off. We decided screw it, let's make a weekend out of it. We're now staying the night. We had enough hotel points to get a room. Something to look forward to in a couple of weeks. No rush, no fuss. We can go early, go to the conference, then just chill. I am very excited now about the whole weekend.

Worked on a few things yesterday. Nothing exciting or note worthy. Reviewed some new material, tested some stuff. Got me through the day. Made fish and chips for dinner. We finished season 2 of Evil. Went to bed. More of the same today to be honest.

I got a lot accomplished in the early hours of the day yesterday. Before it turned into a heat filled swamp outside. I was on the roof at 6:30 cleaning out the gutters and at 7:59, I was ready with the lawn mower. Had everything done by 9:30am. By 11am it was too hot to have done anything of that so I am glad I took care of it. Did some light cleaning in the house, played games, made flatbread pizzas for dinner, watched some tv, prepped for the week. A pretty unremarkable day.

I do not want to be awake this morning. Much tired. But I have things to do today and need to get to them.

I tried moving the plex server yesterday. Fucking technical issues. Even though my drives are formatted as NTFS when I plugged them directly into a windows machine, windows refused to see them. I can read and write to them just fine on the mac from windows, but not use them natively. So now I need to decide what to do. Do I reformat and move things slowly or do I buy new drives? I am still debating.

Made ribs for dinner. Played games. Had fun. Now to clean the gutters.

Another mostly boring day. I worked on random things, C was off and we went to the grocery store together around 11am. That was nice. It was more crowded than I like, but it was nice not going by myself. We did buy some concert tickets for Augsust. We're going to see Rev Kristin Michael Hayter. Formally Lingua Ingota. Small venue like we saw Death Grips in. Balcony seats right above the stage. Tickets were only $40 each so not horrible at all. That will make two concerts for the year as we also have Vampire Weekend in September. We had shwarma for dinner. Stayed up until a little after 11. I am going to work on the plex server today. Poor C has to work all weekend which sucks. Very unhappy about that. Making ribs for dinner tonight.

Stayed up way too late last night. Didn't go to bed until 1am. Why? Don't know.

Decisions were made yesterday. Marble goes in August 2nd. C was added to my insurance. B was removed. C's grandad has to go in for lung surgery on the 30th. It was an emotional day. Sucked ass.

Weird dreams. My brain does some strange shit at night. I wish I could clearly remember dreams. Some day. 

Worked on various admin tasks. Got the new plex server one step closer to going online. Need to move the box tonight. Should have it up and running tonight then start 24+ hours of library scanning. The goal is to switch over this weekend. We shall see how that goes. Made chicken crepes for dinner. Rained all day yesterday. Oh, that was part of my dream!! Water damage was all over the house I was in! Wow. Just reminded myself by typing. Nice. Got belated birthday wishes from a friend. Happy he remembered. It's all good.

And divorce papers rejected. This is why I wanted someone to help us. First issue? I uploaded multiple PDFs it needed to be one. Easy enough. Second reason, there needs to be a DV from both of us. Okay. Third issue? A whole lot of acronyms. So we are going to the courthouse together mext Wednesday to try and do this in person and get it squared away. We both want it done. So frustrating.

Worked on a myriad of different little things yesterday. Mostly catchup from the days off. Have some more type of things to do today like that. Made mahi for dinner. Slept in although I didn't want to. Feeling stressed already.

Back to the grind. Vacation time is over. Joy. Opened email for the first time in days. Only 3 waiting for me. Mostly because other people were off last week too. All three were from yesterday. This is why I took one extra day. Ease back into this shit.

Well, divorce papers are filed. We don't know if we did it right or not, but they are submitted to the courts. Next step is to see if they go through. B came over last night and we walked through everything and did the best we could. Now to wait for the courts to approve or reject them.

Not much else yesterday. A nice quiet end to the time. Next time we do something will be in a couple weeks. Until then, just day to day life.

I am not always good with my feelings for many reasons. Turns out I hurt one of my friends that I deeply care about. I just spent 30 minutes on the phone talking it through and understanding what I did that hurt them. I am new to these kind of friendships. But I am learning and I am glad to have friends who don't just write me off.

I had a good day yesterday. Didn't do much of anything as planned. I had my morning waffles, I had lamb for dinner, and didn't leave the house other than a short walk. Good way to spend the day.

I had a wonderful day yesterday and plan to keep it up! Started with my hair, then a nap, then dinner at melting pot. It was such a great time! I have the best friends and the best partner.

Had another bad dream last night. Don't know what's going on. This one was just out there. I can't explain it. But it's the second one recently that had people in it who I never want to think about. Fucking sucks.

Had a restful day finally yesterday. C worked 6-11 and I did nothing. I took TWO naps. One in the morning after she left and another around 3. She made dinner for us last night too. I played games and watched tv. It was wonderful.

Hair appointment this morning, then birthday dinner at the melting pot!

Had a really fun night last night. The day was mostly uneventful. C worked from 6-11 so we were up early. I washed the car, worked in the basement, and got things prepped for company later. Friends started coming over around 6 and stayed until about 10:30. Food was great, fireworks were a blast, we played badminton, we drank a little, we laughed a lot. We had ice cream cake for my birthday. My friend bought me some pokemon stuff and some lottery tickets. He is hilarious. I told him if they win he gets 10%. They did not win. But hey, he tried. I managed to get most things cleaned up last night including a dishwasher run. So many leftovers we have to go through now but it was worth it. Today I have therapy and then B is supposed to come over and do paperwork. Let's see if that happens.

My house is clean and I got paid early. Boom. I have to go wash the car but when I get back I will pay bills and have one less piece of stress in my brain. 

I spent 6 hours deep cleaning this house yesterday. I mean deep clean. Baseboards, shower, floors. It was worth the effort. My kitchen is spotless which makes me very happy. That was pretty much my whole day. I made C go out for dinner last night because I refused to get my kitchen dirty. Yeah, I know. But it was worth it. We got home, played some games, watched some videos, went to bed. Nothing exciting. She works 6-11 today. I am going to wash the car and then start in on basement projects. Wish me luck.

My vacation is not off to a good start. I was up at 1am after 3 hours of sleep thanks to a weird ass dream. Major subconscious thoughts going through my brain. Feelings of failure, mistakes, and everything else you can imagine. Managed to fall back to sleep until 2, only to wake up again at 3 something, then again finally at 5:15. The first time I woke up I had an alert saying there was unauthorized activity on my account. It wasn't, it was an annual renewal charge, but it scared the shit out of me at 1am. Just stressing out I think. Last night wasn't bad though. We watched a movie, had little chickens for dinner. I spent the day working on more of that AI stuff. Today begins all my projects. First up is cleaning this damn house.

One more day to go and I am free for a week! Although I am really not going to complain much because yesterday was spent in Chat CPT. Yep. My boss asked me to see if could use AI to automate a few tasks and I got to spend my day figuring out the best way to get it to produce code samples. Even my own boss knows I should have been off this whole week. Another day of that kind of stuff. I made meatball subs for dinner. Watched some tv. We've been watching Evil and it's clear that season 2, which was just started, went from being a regular broadcast show to streaming. The minute I heard the first fuck I was like what the heck? So who knows how much more intense this show will get. I also went through a bunch of clothes and am taking some to goodwill today. Two bags worth. Get them out of my house. Free up room in the garage. I may do it tomorrow, but more than likely today. Just to be done with it. Tonight I am making my favorite, little cheekens.

Pretty uneventful day. Went to the store. Cleaned. Made chili. Took a nap. Played video games. The weather was nice and chilly finally. We got a break from heat. Back at it this week though. Not too bad today only in the high 70s. But by the weekend it will be back to 90s. Oh well. Only 2 days of work and I am off for 6 days. I can make it through! 138 hours until my birthday!
