Fuck this weather. It went from mid-60s to 25 fucking degrees. Stupid. Today we get a whopping 37. Woo. So done with it. Spent the day working on presentations. C built guitars. We went to the grocery store and got that out of the way. Have food in the house for another couple of weeks. We also decided on March 15th we're taking a day trip to the butcher and get a 40lb meat bundle. Stock up again. We need it. But this time we're doing one that has no pork and instead subs perch and walleye. Give us a variety. Ham, turkey, beef, and fish. C doesn't do pork really because it tends to dry out to her. So fuck it, why buy it if it's just going to sit. Finally cleared out the leftovers from the party last night. Five days to go through everything. Not bad. At least I don't feel like there was anything wasted. That felt good. We went through almost all of the chicken. Maybe a 1/4 pound had to go. Given I made six pounds, I will take it. We watched tv, did more printing. She made some little parts boxes last night. Very useful. The printer is still a novelty but we will settle in to using it for practical things soon enough. The price we got it for was so cheap they sold through 9 of them in five days. C was telling a friend to get one and they are already gone. I'm glad we got it when we did. More boring work today plus some meetings. Whee. Almost another weekend. Have a hair appointment Saturday so looking forward to that.

We were up until way too late. Combination of things. C working a close, eating dinner at 9:30 because of her close, then the sky ripped open and spark spark boom boom season began. It was right on top of us too. Just crazy in the sky. We lost power twice yesterday. Once in the midday when we heard a transformer blow and then while we slept. Crazy times. Not much else going on. Another day staring at the same four walls.

Nothing of any excitement to report today. Worked on curriculum yesterday. C worked a close. Another one tonight. Had leftovers for dinner. Watched tv. Stayed up later than I wanted. More of the same today.

We wrapped up the weekend nicely. Our friend stayed until about 3pm. Him and C went back to Micro Center to get more filament while I had some nice alone time. Spent more time cooking and cleaning, but it's okay. I enjoyed it. We didn't do a whole lot of anything. Printed more stuff including a napkin holder, a wall mount, some dice, and a little working engine model. We've definitely put this printer to the test. Had leftovers for dinner, watched some tv, relaxed.

Nothing exciting this week planned. C has two closing shifts which sucks but it is what it is.

Another good day. Thanks to C, we now have a 3D printer in the house. You can guess how our night was spent. The day was fun. We went and had brunch together at the same place we went the other day, then we drove to micro center and spent a long ass time in there. We got a pie for dessert and wandered around a game store. Came home, I started ribs, C and our friend worked on modding and cleaning an old PS3. After dinner we all sat down to assemble and play with the printer. We ended up making guitar buttons and an Xbox controller holder for our friend. Went to bed around 11.

Both of us have a splitting headache this morning because I turned the heat up last night to accommodate our guest. We're paying for it now. Plus it was like 10 degrees outside when we went to bed and I didn't open the window. Big mistake. Oh well.

Not much planned for today. C called in because she is in pain. Probably print more stuff.

Party = success! We ended up with 9 of us total which turned out to be a good number. Two had health issues, one flaked. Okay. That's why you overbook the flight, right? Someone is bound to not show up. Of course, I have massive amount of leftover food, but meh. I also managed to clean everything up before we hit bed at midnight. Everyone pretty much arrived within a 20 minute window of each other which was great. I said dinner at 6:30 and we stuck to that. We had three different games in action and everyone had a good time. I spent most of the day cycling between rushing and waiting. All in all, it was a stressful day until about 7, but then I got to enjoy myself and all was good. Our weekend guest is still here obviously and today we're going to hang out and do things together that he wants to do.

Today's the day! In about 12 hours I will have a house full of people! I have things to cook, things to clean, things to prep! Loving it.

Good day yesterday. Worked on some recording stuff for marketing. We took a brunch break and found a wonderful new little cafe by us. Sometimes we find good shit near here. It's rare but there are some decent places. They've only been open for 2 months but everything is really good and fresh. We loved it.

C worked on a new guitar last night. Got it built and working on the first run through! Way to go! That's my baby! Made salmon for dinner and started cleaning last night. Got towels washed and setup the guest room for our weekend stay over. We're looking forward to our friend being here all weekend. Should be awesome!

Woke up late this morning. Feel behind already. Sigh.

We both had a much better day yesterday. Things were calmer, things were okay. We both still have all the same stresses and issues, but we know we have a partner who will stand by us and get through things with us. Takes a lot of the pressure off. Worked on presentations. Made lamb burgers for dinner. Watched some tv, worked on stuff in the office. 

Just got to get through today now.

It was not a good day around here yesterday. C has reached her wit's end with her job, I got my tax bill. We both were just annoyed and frustrated. She needs out of her situation. I need three grand. Yes, I owe three grand this year because of B. Between her having a real job and doing more consulting work, it threw our taxes WAY out of the normal range. Of course I am on the hook for the whole thing. At least when shit like this happened with X2, they would pay their half. Nope. Not here. I am paying the whole fucking thing. Because why not? That's my burden. Whee. The state by the way is only $300. That is easily done. I will only have the feds to deal with.

Whatever. Shoot me now and bury me in the ground.

Tuesday. Woo. Yesterday was nothing exciting. Had a doctor's appointment where I learned that I will probably get a full 20 months out of my pellet injections. The average is 8-10 months. I am double the average. My doctor, who somewhere along the family tree is related to me, said of course as we excel at everything we do. Okay buddy. Still, it's an expense I don't have to worry about for a while. She did call in a couple of scrips for me that will help balance out some of my hormones, but otherwise all of my other numbers look good. I don't have to do anything for another six months except exist. I will take that. 

Worked on a new webinar. Watched some tv. C closed last night and tonight so I had leftovers. Not sure what I will do tonight. We shall see. Only a few more days until the party!

Less than 100 days to another year of this. Some day, some day this will be a reflection of me, the world, and the times we lived through. An archive for history. Hopefully.

Had a decent day. I spent the morning doing laundry, went to the store, made crab salad, cleaned the house. Got things done. C got home around 2. We had a roast for dinner, spent time together, and all in all it was a good day. Nothing too exciting. 

This week is looking okay. Have a doctor's appointment today, some minor work stuff all week. Taking Friday off for our big party. Have that to look forward to this upcoming weekend. I need some social interaction.

 Happy Sunday people! Up way too fucking early but oh well! Here we go again!

Had a good Saturday. Started a roast for dinner tonight. Went and tried a new mexican place for lunch. Pricey, but the most authentic street food/truck food I've had here. While we waiting for our order some fucking stupid old lady came in not knowing what kind of place it was and asked for a ground beef hard shell taco. Bitch, taco bell is down the street, get the fuck out of here. I had an al pastor burrito and we split a chorizo quesadilla. Hard shell ground beef. Go, go away. 

Our new chair arrived. Pics below. We really like it. It finishes the office off and seeing as C fell asleep in it for 2 hours, I would call that a success. For dinner we went to our new favorite sushi place. So good. Fresh, tasty, and reasonably priced. We like it. A bit out of the way but worth it. On the way home we stopped at Harbor Freight for C to pick up some supplies she needs. Three more guitars have arrived and two electronic kits. She is going to start modding them today after work. She stands to make a profit of $50-$100 per guitar on these so yeah, I will encourage her. If she sells 2-3 a week she literally will be making more than she is at the grocery store. She's had to work like four days this last week but it was only 4 or 5 hour shifts. Useless. I think she had 21 hours last week. She is starting her name change process this week and that will make it easier for her to look for something new. She doesn't want to go through the hassle of having to apply in one name but ask to be called something else. I get that. 

Okay, here's the new chair. I am going to clean the basement a bit today but otherwise, I am taking my day off.

I am doing much better today. Part of my problem yesterday was due to the police. Fuck the police. When we tried to go to bed Thursday night, some fucking cop pulled someone over right in front of our house. No big deal EXCEPT the fucking pig had to show everyone how important he was by leaving ALL of his lights on at 10pm on a weeknight in a residential neighborhood. Then of course his pig buddy had to show up and turn THEIR lights on. Seriously? Oh and he left his lights running while he did paperwork. For over 40 minutes they were in front of our house talking loud and shining lights in our bedroom window. Fucking pigs.

Managed to have a decent day. Multiple meetings that never ended. Had a new client who basically wants to rent me out. Whatever. Pay the troll toll and you can have me. We shall see what happens with that. Did laundry, paid all the bills, went to the grocery store.

Made gnocchi with lamb meatballs last night. Very tasty. Was very pleased with the results. Watched some tv together. Played games. Wonderful way to come back to life when you have a partner who is supportive.

We were up until almost 1am last night! We had a rocking Valentine's Day. We had heart shaped pizzas, lots of together naked time, played games, more snuggle time, and I got a new mount in WoW. I also did a live meeting with a client on camera. First time meeting me and I was me. No issues, no questions. That's the second client this week where I have been on camera and no shame. Makes me happy. I also reconnected with another old friend. I learned how she opened a cafe a few years back but sadly it went under during the pandemic. It was nice talking to her. This has been a good week so far. I will take it.

Happy Valentine's Day! Yes, I am looking forward to today. C doesn't have to work, it's heart shaped pizza night, and I am in a happy loving relationship. What's not to enjoy? Pizza ordered! Be here at 5:30.

We had a good day yesterday. Ran some errands, C worked on her guitars, I worked on my certifications. Had a meeting with a salesperson about a meeting today. God I hate her. She is so fucking annoying. She is going to lose us this sale. Oh well.

Made mussels and scallops for dinner. Then we did an ice cream flight. C got down a rabbit hole on r/icecream. Yes, that's a thing. Anyway we ended up buying 5 different ice creams and did a flight to test them all out. Jeni's by the way is the clear winner and is awesome. I strongly recommend it.

We are both so done with C's job. These closing shifts kill us. I get up early and then end up staying up  until midnight. She comes home angry and exhausted. She has two next week. Assuming she even goes back in. I am ready for her to move on to something new.

AC/DC HAS ANNOUNCED A TOUR! Right now it's Europe only but that means they're coming!! It's been a long time since I have seen them. The first band I ever saw. This is their last tour and you know I will be right fucking there for it. Now announce some US dates you buttholes.

Yesterday was long. Not in a bad way, just long. C worked until 1pm and that's early for her so it was weird. We had many hours together. That was nice. We just spent time enjoying each other. Much needed. Her work was ridiculously slow. Not only did people around here not care about the superb owl, many were watching out of spite since the Lions lost. The manager of the store had people working overnight to prep and the food just sat. They had the bright idea that pot pies would be what people wanted for some dumb ass reason. When she left they had sold nothing. She sent me a video from around 9:30 and the whole store was empty. What a joke.

We made pizzas for dinner. She called mine "an AI representation of a pizza". Yeah, well it was good! We watched a movie together, cuddled on the couch, and called it a day around 11pm. She closes tonight and I have work all day including a client meeting, so this is going to suck big time. Welcome to another week kids. Only saving grace is I am looking forward to VD this week.

There's a reason I don't eat spicy food. I pay for it in the middle of the night. Oy, the indigestion I had all night. Bleh. We had lamb tamales which were awesome but my stomach paid for it at 3am. 

We spent the morning rearranging the office. Made room for our new chair that should be here this week. Very excited about that. Plus we've been in the same spot for over a year and you all know how that makes me feel. That took up most of the morning and then C had to work from 2-6. Stupid shift. She hated it.

Made dinner, watched some tv, played games, went to bed around midnight.

I do hope they find the Superb Owl today!

Woke up to a work email (yeah I know I shouldn't check on weekends but this time it was good) that I am finally getting my payout for the work I brought in nearly 4 months ago. It's a decent chunk of change! Like nearly 2k. I fought hard for this and it went back and forth. I finally am getting my due. Thank goodness. 

I finished my white paper yesterday. Did some other random work. Went to the grocery store and got everything I should need for the weekend. I am not leaving the house this weekend. Superb Owl is on and I won't be out there. Poor C has to work today and tomorrow. She is going to get flooded by idiots. The biggest problem is people get her store wrong. It's right on the border of the city we live in and the next city over. People constantly come in thinking that it's the other store. I imagine she is going to have a ton of morons who will scream they placed an order but in reality it's waiting at the other store.

Made spam friend rice and mongolian beef for dinner. Very happy with how they both came out. We watched some TV, then worked on our guitar stuff. We have one completely modded and working perfectly! It was a process for sure. Re-soldering had to happen, plastic bits shaved and trimmed, but in the end we have a fully working modded guitar we can keep or sell. We invested $60 into it plus our time. They go for $150-$175 on the market. Not a bad ROI. 

Today before C leaves for work, we're rearranging the office. It's been the same way too long and I need a change. Nothing drastic, just moving stuff from one wall to another. We're having a new chair delivered for in here and we need to make room. Trying to make it look more adult if you will. Right now it's very stark and we want to do something about that before our game night. Two weeks until game night! We have 11 confirmed. This is going to be a good party!

Okay, time to get moving. I slept in a bit and need to get crackin'!

Got through my presentation. 150 people at its peak. Apparently I answered 56 questions inline as well. Someone was keeping track of that. Most of my colleagues when they do theirs they wait until the end to answer questions and basically talk AT their audience. I do the opposite. I answer as we go and engage. It's why my webinar Q rating is so much higher. Boo-yah.

Our friend came over after dinner (shrimp pesto pasta) and played a new game with us. Hues and Cues. Very interesting game. We sat and talked until like 10. Nice way to end the day. 

This morning off to grocery store as I am not leaving this house this weekend. It's big foosball weekend. Bleh.

Yesterday was just a rough day. Couldn't shake the headache for hours. Couldn't focus on anything. Feel like the house is a mess. It's because I haven't gone anywhere in months. I know it. Got my test results back yesterday. My hormone levels are out of whack too. That's not helping. I need to get that resolved by I don't see the doctor until the 19th. Work is driving me crazy. Just nothing going on and it's killing me. Our guitar project after many ups and downs appears to be a success. We went out for BBQ last night and that was really good. Stupidhead had their birthday at the Benihoohoo and usual. The longer we're apart, the more I should have seen these incompatibilities. Oh well.

So I kind of gave myself food poisoning yesterday. Never trust leftovers you're not sure of is the moral of this story. I sat down for some lunch and ate what I thought was till good mac and cheese. It was not. I spent most of the day feeling like I was going to throw up and tried to pretend it wasn't a problem. Not smart. My body is still not happy with me. Oh well. 

Worked on another new document, C worked a night shift, went to bed late. Nothing exciting other than me not feeling well.

Yesterday was one of those Sundays where I need a 3rd weekend day. Too much to do and too little time to do it to allow me to have any time for myself. I was up with C at 4:30 and went non-stop from there. First thing was getting the car washed. It was way overdue. I managed to do the inside too except for the mats. I still need to yank those out and give them a cleaning. After the car wash went to the grocery store. Then I came home and started in on everything here. Three loads of laundry. Kitchen cleaning. Floor cleaning. Office cleaning. Made dinner. Cleaned the kitchen again. Just felt like a lot yesterday. Now it's Monday and here we go again. Tired of living 60% of my life just for work. Soon. Soon I will be done with all of it. Don't know how, don't know when. But soon.

Another week of pushing paper at that. Sigh.

I was up way too early yesterday and now today. What's it like to sleep in until like 8 or 9? I have no idea. Too much shit to do and not enough time to do it in.

We did a bunch of stuff yesterday. Had a hair appointment, went looking for a new hamper, went to the grocery store, went to home depot, went to the vape shop, had chinese food. Busy ass day. We were exhausted and got in bed at 9:30.

I am running on about 4.5 hours sleep thanks to that fucking cat. She started screaming at 6:45 for fucking food. I am going to kill her. We didn't get into bed until almost 2:30. Fuck her. Goddamn.

Why did we get home so late? We finally saw Stavros Halkias last night! If you remember, we were supposed to go back in October but he had to reschedule due to COVID. Well it finally happened last night. More on that in a minute.

Got up and paid all the bills yesterday. Got my Jan expense check late last night thankfully. I am using that money to pay for my hair this year. I need that money. But I did get all the other bills paid thankfully. Now that my expense check came through I can pay a couple more too. Knock shit out. I then spent the day working on different things and finally at 3pm gave my long awaited presentation on AI in BI. I was really excited to give this one. It's a fun exciting topic for us and our new CTO was there. Everyone loved it and it was a hit.

After I made us dinner, gnocchi with italian sausage and mushrooms. It came out perfect. C was scarfing it up and it will go into regular rotation. At 7 we started getting ready. Show was scheduled to start at 10 and we figured doors would open at 9. I tried to time everything and did pretty good. We rolled into the parking garage at 8:51. The garage was right next to the theater and we walked up to the doors at 8:54. My therapist would have been proud of me. Of course the first set started late and we still ended up waiting outside for 30 minutes. The best laid plans and all that. But it wasn't too bad. Our seats were row 1. I expected there to be a typical gap between the stage and the seats. Nope. We were literally right on the stage. I could put my drink on it. I didn't but I could have! I will put some pics down the end of this. 

The opening comic was funny. I was surprised at how much I laughed. The guy was 6'7" and from where we were he looked huge. Good material. Then came Stavros. I laughed so hard I was worried about peeing my pants. He locked eyes with us a few times especially since we were the only two women in the front row. This guy is hilarious. He did all new material too. About an hour set and we got out of there around 12 something. We grabbed late night taco bell on the way home because it's what you do. Watched some videos while we ate and finally got to bed.

Today I have a hair appointment at 11, going to Old Navy to find C some jeans, and that's about it. It's the kid's birthday so message her if you have her number. We're doing Chinese because I need a night off of cooking.

I almost forgot to tell you all something. Stupidhead took a big leap forward this week. They got off my phone plan finally! Cut my phone bill in half. Went from $110 a month to $60. They say they're going to get their own insurance next. We shall see. I will take whatever victories I can.

Had a meeting with work yesterday. Got some things to do while we wait for real work to come in. I also am going to be adding two new certifications to my pile. Even if it doesn't matter now, it will look good in the future that's for sure. Otherwise, just plugging along.

Made deconstructed chicken enchiladas last night. Basically nachos with enchilada sauce. Not bad. I was pretty happy. Tomorrow is Stavros. Just got to make it through one more day.
