There's something immensely satisfying about waking up one minute before your alarm goes off. You know that feeling. It just makes you feel like you know your own body and its rhythm.

My illness has mostly passed which means not the flu, but definitely food poisoning. Fun.

We got a good deal accomplished yesterday. Due to his injury, we weren't able to get the floors finished, but the MBF (mother's boyfriend. I figure that's an easier designation) did at least come over to pick up the baseboards we needed and deliver them. We did 12 foot lengths of PVC baseboards because it's a basement and we wanted something waterproof/resistant. The floors are waterproof and now the baseboards are too. He didn't put them all on, but he was able to put on the one wall where we wanted to move the bookcases. That was a big one for us. Thanks to him at least getting that wall done, we were able to move all four bookcases over to that side. It really makes the area look like it's coming together. I also cleaned up the used boxes of flooring and started moving some other stuff around. We're getting very close and should have things settled down there this week. Wish us luck on that.

We took a quick ride to the grocery store around 11 and picked up some bread and other little odds and ends. My big journey out in the last 5 days. I moved 2500 miles and still don't go anywhere. Sigh.

It started snowing around 4:30pm yesterday and dumped a good four inches on the ground. Once I have finished my morning shit I am going outside to shovel the driveway so B can get out and go to the chiropractor. I have a meeting from 10-11 this morning and then a 1/2 day class from 12-4. It's technically a 9-1 PST class but I had to pick it up from one of my co-workers. Whatever. I only have that and one more on Wednesday from 9-5 this week. But I also have two more classes to finish that we want to roll out March 1st and I need a good four to five days to finish them up. I am hoping to get at least one more done this week.

I am limiting my diet to BRAT (bananas, rice, applesauce, toast) right now. And I had chicken broth for dinner. BRAT just means anything bland, boring, and not going to kill your stomach. Chicken broth is on the agenda.

B is having a bit of a stress right now. Her mother is back in the hospital for chest pains and her grandfather is having complications from his surgery. He has developed pneumonia and is having trouble. She is probably going to have to help them both out this week. Watch kids, drive people, grocery shop, cook, etc. But guess what? This is exactly why we moved here. Everyone keeps asking why the hell we moved to MI and this is it people. It's so my poor wife doesn't have massive guilt when something happens to her family and she's not here. Speaking of family, I should check in on my sister.
