I got to experience something very midwest and very not my cup of tea last night. B's cousin and her BF were coming over to have a game night with us. They were scheduled to come over around 7pm. At 5:30 B gets a text asking if we will be watching 'the game'? Um, what? No. "Is there anyway you can have it on in the background?". Double no. Apparently one of the colleges here was doing the basketball. I know that's not solely a midwest thing, but it's something no one whose ever come over to our place has ever asked. It kind of irked me to be honest.
I will come back to our evening in a minute. But first the day.
I statred working around 6am and managed to get through 110 slides in this custom presentation. It will be around 250 or so plus demos when I am done so I felt accomplished. Then we got on the meeting with the client. My boss, who will be out all next week, started fucking volunteering changes. Dude, shut up. I could be done today if you shut up. He did not. I now have to modify the entire thing. Lovely. I gave up for the day and wen tto get groceries.
Came back, cleaned the house and waited for B to come home from work. We had carnitas tacos for dinner,
We did have a fun time with B's cousin regardless of the sport thing. They stayed until a little after midnight and we went to bed around 1.
Today it is raining outside and I plan on staying inside.
UPDATE -- logged into the bank and found fucking fraud from China. ARGH. This day is going to suck.
