Y6 D217

Only a few days left in the year. Amazing. We will be as close to 2000 as we are to 2030 soon enough. Numbers like that boggle me. I was thinking about it in the shower yesterday, I was born in 1968. The sixties basically. Now, granted it was the end of the decade and I really grew up in the 70s and more so in the 80s, but even that. Someone who was born in 1980 will be 35 next year. I was 2 years away from high school. Time is an odd construct. And we can't avoid it.

I had a lot of time to think yesterday. Not in a bad way. B got up in the morning and was coughing and feeling like hell. I went to the store to get her the Tussin and some more flea meds for the idiots. I don't know what to do short of bombing this place to get rid of these damn fleas. They just won't go. Came back, gave B her meds, and she proceeded to crash out for about 5 hours. From 11-4. So yeah, I had some alone time yesterday. Not really complaining. I managed to get all of OZ (the HBO prison show, not the happy stuff), all of The Wire, and all of The Fresh Prince of Belair. I also decided I am going to start watching The Librarians. See? I had a useful time. I also dyed my hair, applied meds to the cats, and played Lego Batman.

When she finally woke up, she commandeered the TV from me and went on a Downton Abbey binge. All good. She is still coughing a bit but her screwy sleep yesterday kept her up until 2:30am. I went to bed around 10:30 as I have a class today and tomorrow. Two students, system administration class. This should be interesting. But I get through them and I am 'off' until next week. So two days of my life in exchange for 5. Yeah. I can deal.
