Yesterday was a pretty decent day. I had to get up way too early and deal with traffic though. This is utterly ridiculous - I left here at 4:30am and within ten minutes was sitting in traffic moving 25-30 on the freeway. But I can't complain because an hour later I was listening to the radio and it was down to 10-15 in the same spot. That's just asinine. One of the many reasons we must leave here.
Got to the old area around 5:30 and had time to kill obviously. I went to CVS where I got a little something for B for Easter. Then I went and washed my car. Man did it need it. Caked on bugs. I took my time and got it all nice. I then went to home depot mostly because it was the only thing open and I picked up a cable I needed to hook the new TV up to the stereo. Plus when I get a sound bar, I can use the same cable so it was an investment in the future. The plan is to get one for my birthday.
Around 7:30 I headed to the doctor's office and parked in the garage. Luckily I was smart enough to bring my laptop and watched some Breaking Bad. I went in around 8:30 and while they got me into a room early, I still didn't get seen by the doctor until 10.
I love this guy. He is the best doctor I have ever had. He was worth the drive. We talked about my prostate issue (he increased my dosage) and then we talked about my foot. Ever since the injury in September, I have had pain. He ended up referring me to a specialist in his building whom I will be seeing on 4/13. Another early drive, but oh well. He is worried I did permanent damage to the achilles.
Headed back home and shared everything with B. Took a small nap and then she wanted In N Out for dinner. Fine. Went off got it, came back, putzed around. Watched Justified. OMG. Only two more to go. I will miss that show so much.
Teaching the next three days. One class, 7 students.
