Yesterday was okay. Not great. Just okay. I will say I slept fairly well last night. I had a LOT of dreams going on. I remember one with Tom Petty in it. Another one had me in some store trying to get a car stereo installed. Lots of different dreams going on. I feel fairly rested this morning. Not looking forward to my class though and here's why.
So yesterday I start up the meeting and 2 of my 3 students connected by 7. My third student was running late. At 7:06 I sent an email asking if he was having trouble. He showed up about 3 minutes later. It went downhill from there. He started complaining about how his 2 minute commute took 20 and how his coffee was cold and was this class ever going to start and 'i thought this was an advanced class'. He carried on this way throughout the whole day. I gave my boss a heads-up that this guy might come asking for a refund. I honestly don't know if he will even show up this morning. Doesn't make for a pleasant time, that's for sure. I was so glad when class was over.
Went to the bank and got a replacement card, came back, took a wee nap, then helped B with dinner. She made slow cooker potato soup which was really good. Plus we now have leftovers for lunches. She went to group, got home a little after 9. We talked about her session. There was some new guy there who caused her some discomfort. He was potentially dangerous and that gave her anxiety. Why dangerous? He may be a little autistic or mentally challenged and she felt he was about to have a melt down at one point and needed to be out of that scenario. She actually left group ten minutes early as a result. One of the best skills she has acquired going to these sessions is knowing when to walk away from something that is not making her feel comfortable. Good job.
Went to bed a little after 10 and fell right asleep. 2 more days of this group and then I am done. I am officially done for four days but I have no classes until January so, I am done for the year in my brain. I have some stuff to work on next week, but don't have to deal with any buttholes. Only 115 hours until Christmas!!
