Day 2 done. I had to sing and dance a little yesterday because of bugs in the new version of the product, but I did an okay job. This is a good close knit group which makes a difference. They all know each other, they work together, and they are a casual group. It truly does make a difference in the classroom. Makes for a lighter day when things go wrong. But we got through it. Took a little longer than I wanted and we didn't finish up until almost 5:30, but we made it.
I got there super early. The traffic here is so terrible that getting out of the hotel driveway is an adventure. You get stuck in a turn lane if you don't get out early enough which forces you to drive through the traffic of the two colleges. I left here around 6:15am to make sure I didn't get stuck. Only problem with that is the client is in a gated parking lot and I had to sit and wait until someone showed up to open the gate. Then I sat in the car until someone from the group I am working with showed up. A lot of sitting. Whee.
They have been bringing lunch in each day which has given me dinner each night. Add to that my free breakfast and I am not spending a lot of money at least. It's amazing how different two trips can be. In NJ nothing is free and I spend a ton on meals where here I haven't spent diddly and I will be here longer. Just goes to show how different areas are.
Watched some TV, talked to B, talked to my boss about how things are going, then went to bed around 10. We may be doing a half day tomorrow depending on how today goes which will be nice. I can actually sleep in a little bit or at least take a nap. Depends on how we structure the day. Wish me luck for today.
