We did not go to the cider mill yesterday. I had a feeling we weren't going. Both of us were too tired to make a 2.5 hour drive. On top of that when I checked the weather it was supposed to rain all day up there. Neither of us wanted to risk getting more sick (in my case) or slog through mud (her case). Instead we stayed home and cleaned the house.
We finally found a solution to something I have been looking for. I have been tired of spending so much time in the office. But it's where all my machines were. Yes, I have a laptop but I can't look at that screen for too long for like game playing or stuff like that. It's why I have a separate monitor. Plus I never felt a separation between work and not work. We have been looking for a small console table or writing desk to put in the dining area so that way I can get out of the office. Found one at Target of all places. It's perfect. It's not too big, a weathered white color so it blends in, and this way I don't have to feel trapped in the office all day. When I have work to do, I have two machines in there and can work on them. For fun stuff I can be out here. We've been using the dining area as a cat room basically and they're not happy I am invading their space but they will deal.
That was our major adventure yesterday. Cleaned, setup the new desk, relaxed. We made vegan tacos for dinner. We both are trying to figure out what to bring to Vegas. It's a lot of days. We also looked at where we're going to be and what's close by. B wants to go to a Hard Rock Cafe. Sigh. Okay. It's the 90s all over so why not.
Went to bed around 10 and feel like I finally got a decent amount of sleep. Thank goodness. I have to teach three days this week and didn't want to be sick for that. Today we have no plans other than to start packing. Whee.
