Simple day yesterday. Left for the airport at 2:45, boarded my flight at 5:30. Yes, I screwed up and left the house too early. I got this flight and my flight to Princeton confused. I could have had a later pickup but whatever. I would rather sit at the airport than be in traffic. I flew into LAX. What a pain in the ass. You have to take a shuttle from the plane to the baby terminal, then a shuttle to the main terminal, then a shuttle to the rental car. WTF? I seriously landed at 8:15 but didn't get to the rental car exit until 9:30. It literally took an hour before I was out of there. Whatever. I had time to kill. I stopped at Target on the way to the hotel, grabbed some lunch, and got to the hotel at around 11. Luckily my room was ready.

I have a nice room. Corner suite, 8th floor. Away from everyone and everything.

Only bad thing that happened yesterday is my headphones finally gave up. They cracked off their mount in a way that this time tape or glue won't fix them. I ended up around 3 going to best buy and getting a new pair of headphones. I really did try to avoid doing that. I tried using any of the random pairs in my bag but ear bud style just don't stay in my ear and the sound is horrible. I ended up buying the newer model of B's headphones, the Bose Quiet Comfort 35 II. What's the II? They have google assistant built in. Okay. Whatever. As for the headphones? HOLY SHIT. I will never buy any other headphones again. The sound, the weight, the noise reduction are all through the roof. The minute I switched them on, the outside world vanished. Even with nothing playing through them. It was glorious silence. I was in heaven. I finally understand what the fuss is about these things. It's incredible.

Had dinner in the hotel restaurant, watched some TV, went to bed around 10. Off this morning at 6:30 since I don't know where I am going. Two days in the valley, then home, then off to Aftershock!

Side note - I made an appointment for something yesterday. On November 18th at 1:45pm, I will be getting a vasectomy. Yep. Nothing exciting, just something.
