Y5 D272

Yesterday I watched the episode of the Doctor - The Wedding of River Song and two episodes of season 3 of Sherlock. I also watched the pilot episode of Betas but we'll come back to that in a minute. First let's focus on the one thing that Doctor episode and Sherlock episodes have in common. If I am ever in Scotland and I happen to bump into Steven Moffat, I will punch that man so hard in the balls it's not even funny. He needs to feel some of the pain he causes his viewers. Dear god does that man know how to write material that just sticks a knife in your heart. I bet him and Joss Whedon talk on the phone: "Hey Joss, who you going to kill of this week?" "Oh I don't know, I need to see which character is most beloved first. How about you?" "Same". Bastards. Very few television shows can make me go all blubbery inside but the Doctor and Sherlock every single time it's one of his episodes. Ugh.

As for Betas? Meh. It's just so damn cliche. I work in this industry and these characters just are too broad stroked for my taste. I only watched the pilot so I will give it a chance, although I don't have high hopes for it.

Besides watching way too much yesterday I managed to teach a class and then after class I took a walk to Target. I needed a new pair of jeans because these have a hole in the knee as usual. I bought a nice grey pair for $30. I also bought a bunch of snack stuff for my students to give them today. Had free dinner in the hotel again, pulled pork sandwiches and fries. No the food here isn't great, but it is free. I haven't paid for breakfast, lunch, or dinner the last three days. They only do dinner Mon-Thurs but free is free.

Just have to make it through today and then I go home tomorrow morning. Up disgustingly early, travel all day, then have a show. Tomorrow is going to be hell for me.
