Fine day Sunday.

Today I am going to clean like the wind! Woosh! All the cleaning!! First on the list? Me. I am a mess from last night.

During the day yesterday I pretty much did nothing. I worked on my puzzle and watched the Doctor. I had kind of a sad day. Just wasn't up to doing much of anything. I wasn't going out until 8 at the earliest and it made me antsy all day. I started getting ready around 4. I was done at 7:30. 15 minutes to spare. My friend got here right on time. We headed out the door at 8 on the dot. The weather was awful and I drove slow as a result. We got into the city around 8:30. We got a fantastic parking place right across the street from the place which made me happy. That was pretty much the last time I was happy for the rest of the night. We knew we weren't sitting until at least 9:15 so we sat in the car and talked for a while which was fine. I should mention, we went to a drag club last night that does dinner and a show. They have three seatings on Saturday - 5, 7, and 9. Which is why we knew we weren't going to seat early. At 8:50 we went inside and they showed us to the nightclub downstairs. Loud. Obnoxious. Annoying. I was wet, I was flustered, I couldn't hear, and there were way too many people in way too small an area. They gave us one of those table beep beep things and we FINALLY got seated at 9:45. I was starving at this point because the only thing I had eaten was a steak sandwich around 1. I knew my buddy was getting sick of me but he kept his shit pretty well. It was definitely more the kind of place he enjoys than me. Plus I wasn't drinking which means I was surrounded by drunks while sober yet again. We get upstairs and since we are a party of two we are right at the bar in the front. Most of the tables are large party and they sit everyone else at the bar. Now we are jammed in like sardines on VERY uncomfortable bar stools for the next 2 hours. The food was fantastic. It's a three course meal fixed price and I had a seared steak salad, cold soba noodles, and a beignet banana split. WONDERFUL. I loved the food. The setup is the bar has a strip for the performers and they walk the runway doing their show while you eat and drink. The girls were great. The performances were outstanding. It was the building and the people that I didn't like. We finished up at around 11:40 and it took forever to get our check. I just wanted out. We were home by 12:30. It then took me about 40 minutes to get all situated. Mixed feelings on all of the night and day yesterday.

Now to go clean.
