I ended up going home last night instead of staying near my class. Why? Well, before I left the hotel yesterday I sent my friend a simple message asking if he could leave an iron and board out for me as well as instructions for connecting to his internet. He responded with a text a few hours later stating he doesn't own an iron AND his internet has been out all week and won't be operational. We're done. I could handle buying a $20 iron if need be, but no iron AND no internet? Nope. Heading home. No way I could function without both of those.
Day went okay. Taught up until about 4:45. They brought lunch in for once which was nice. They are planning on doing the same today for us. It took me about 75 minutes to get home thanks to traffic and weather. B called me on the way home. She placed a to go order for us and it was ready as I was getting home.
Had a nice burger thanks to her. We did have one little issue last night. She recently applied for her first credit card and was denied. That didn't surprise us as she has little credit history but the reasons were because she had delinquent accounts. Um, no. We tried looking things up on line and it looks like in 2008 and 2009 someone opened accounts under her SSN. She of course freaked out and we spent the next two hours trying to reach someone at Equifax. She is still a little frantic about it but now after talking to some folks she has a path to go down.
We then watched some TV and headed to bed. While I am glad I came home, I am not happy about having to drive. But you do what you got to do, right?
