Finally home and settled enough to post. We had an awesome day yesterday. I didn't make all the best financial decisions, but luckily I didn't screw myself over too bad. More importantly the kid had the best birthday time. Which she told me 17 times during her drunken stage yesterday.
We got up and meandered over to the park around 9/9:30. We walked around the shops until about 11 stopping only to get her a birthday button. We found some stuff we wanted her specifically as birthday presents. We got one out of the gate - an Alex and Ani Rapunzel bracelet. From there we met our friend at Trader Sam's around 11 and began tiki drinking at 11:30. Four drinks each and food later, we wandered into DCA. We hit Carthay Circle around 2 and stayed until 4:30 basically until the kid couldn't walk. She was floopy as hell. That's where she told me how wonderful B is, how happy she is for us, how I am the best father ever, etc. We walked back to the hotel, her with a death grip on my arm. She was toast. We managed to get back to the hotel and she started to lay down but the room was spinning. Managed to get her settled and I let her sleep for about 90 minutes. Enough to take off the harsh drunk. We got back inside DCA around 6:30, had hot dogs which sobered her right up, then went to check out Frozen Fun. It was okay. Not like Mad T at all. More family friendly and 'task' set up. Go here for a picture with Marshmallow. Go here to play in the snow. Go here to see Olaf. With Mad T you just kind of hung out. T felt more like a club. This felt more forced. We saw Marshmallow, took a break, went on Tower of Terror, then came back to play in the Arandelle section and play in the snow. After we had snacks and then did our final shopping before getting back to the hotel around 10.
By then the kid had sobered up and was ready for bed. Off we went. We needed sleep as we were up early today. But that's a whole different post, now isn't it?
