Happy Back to the Future day! Where's my hoverboard and self tying shoes dammit? Although we could be living in the future of Blade Runner. That would really suck.
Finished up day two of my class. It was rough. Things were not working the way they were supposed to, kept getting errors where no errors were expected, two of my students were in way over their heads, and it was just a frustrating day all in all. The next three are a much easier class and even if the students are a little off, it will be a better time. I am sure of it.
Finished around 2:40 and needed to deal with some other work stuff. My trip to Coopersburg PA was confirmed around 1pm yesterday and I had to spend the hour after class booking flight, hotel, and car. The airport nearest the client would require almost 15 hours in travel to fly into directly. Instead I am going to Philly airport, then driving for 65 miles. Not a big deal except I don't get in until almost 6pm. It's going to be a rough travel day for that one. I calculated out that I am on the road 78% of the working days in November, 53% of the total days. December is not much better. Sigh.
When that was all done, I sat down to play some video games. I then helped B make dinner. She wanted to make stuffed bell peppers. They came out really good. She did an awesome job. Plus we got to use the new food processor. Man is that thing powerful. Two quick pulses and it made mincemeat out of the onion, peppers, and mushrooms we put in there. It was fun making dinner together. One thing we both like about this new place is the size of the kitchen. It's big enough for us to work in it without being on top of each other.
Finished dinner, watched some TV, and then had a crash course in B's family. Since we are going back there for Christmas, she put together a really cool powerpoint for me that breaks out each side of the family with a picture and personal info. I have two months to memorize everyone's name and relationship. Not a problem. I can do this.
Went to bed around 10:30. Same time, different day, eh? Three more days this week, concert this weekend, two days next week, then I get 5 days off for our anniversary. I can't wait for her to open these presents. I also can't wait until Friday to see what my bonus check looks like. I have been busting ass and it better be reflected in my check.
Time to prep for class.
