I am free for a few days! No classes, no travel, no nothing. Paradise.

Taught until 2:30, played some video games, watched some TV, waited for a package to arrive, made pork chops for dinner, went to bed.

You know your life is pretty boring when it can almost fit into a twitter post.

Look, I'm really not complaining. It's just so different how life is these days versus how it was even 5 years ago. Speaking of 5 years ago, yesterday was the 5th anniversary of my brother's death. I still have the last voice mail he ever sent me. So weird when you can listen to something like that and know you'll never see that person again. Especially now that we live up here and would be 30-45 minutes away from him. I keep wondering if we will ever run into his wife and my nephews. I don't even know how old they would be at this point. I swear one should be 13 or 14 if not older. I wonder if they think about me ever. What happened to our uncle? Will I one day get an email from them like I did their father? What does their mother say about me if they ask? It's a shame how adults can behave sometimes.

Today I have to go the store for a couple of last minute things for tomorrow, then the post office to mail Christmas presents to MI, then we have an appointment for a mani/pedi. Technically B does, but she can't drive to Vancouver on her own. I'd be happy sitting at home doing nothing if I had my way. Alas, I don't have my way.

I need to get to the store before it gets crowded.
