You know the bar is pretty low when you wake up and you're happy to have power. Look out world, I have electricity! Yesterday was a complete clusterfuck. Showered in the dark, got ready in the dark, left here at 4:45 because no internet, no breakfast, etc. I still don't have what I feel is a good resolution to the issue. In my mind, I paid Hilton for a service. That service included things like a bed, indoor plumbing, and oh I don't know, how about power? And they failed. Therefore they owe me for at least one night where they didn't live up to their end of the bargain. I don't think that's asking for much at all. I tried explaining this to the night manager last night but he was only half paying attention. If I don't have a resolution by tonight, I am going up the food chain. Ugh. So tired of this shit. Just want to go home for a while. Three more days and I can be home.
Anyway, got on site at 5:10am, sat in the car for a little while, then I walked around catching Pokemon. I did manage to catch a kabuto and evolve my ponyta which made things a little better. Not great mind you, but a little better. I then sat in the lobby until someone showed up at 8. We went off to a conference room and then at 9:15, they all let me because one of the 'big bosses' demanded a meeting. I sat there until almost 10 twiddling my thumbs.
We then spent the rest of the day working on one report. We managed to get it all done at 4:30 when we decided to call it a day. Got back to the hotel around 5 which is when I tried to speak to the manager who only half ass listened to me. Around 6, I went for a walk to El Pollo Loco and had the chicken for dinner. THAT was good. I haven't had that in a while and it was certainly tasty.
Watched some tv, talked with B, played some WoW and went to bed around 10. Today promises to be more of the same. Except of course, I have power and don't need to leave here until 6:30. Small victories.
