B had a rough day yesterday and it isn't going to get much better today I am afraid. B's mom is in the hospital. Looks like she had some kind of minor heart thing. They spent the day stress testing, catheter in the heart, looking for blockage, etc. B was there all day with her and we're going back this morning. I didn't go with her yesterday because I had work to do. But I am going this morning.
While she was with her mother I was at home working. I managed to get two new demos recorded. My new machine lived up to the promise. I was able to render a 16 minute video in under 2 minutes. I was happy about that. Because of the length of the video, it took me almost two hours to record, but at least I didn't have to wait around for a long decode time.
My boss was FINALLY 'back' yesterday. Which means he was catching up on a week's worth of emails and dumping all at once. Some time around 6 or 7 I got six emails back to back. Son of a beech. I did get approval on my new presentation and can now finally send it to the client. Yay for me.
B's sister came home with her (just the older one, they didn't tell the younger what's going on because it would be more stress than help). They played mario party and relaxed. B needed it. We all were in bed by 10.
So today - hospital, drop kid off, look for a new laptop bag, fish store. That's our Saturday adventure.
