Current temperature? -1. With wind chill, -25. Federal offices closed. But guess who has to travel in this shit? Yep. Me. As of right now, everything is still listed as on time and departing. We shall see how that changes in the next few hours. I have two contingency plans in place. The first is if I make it to Chicago and get cancelled, I will see about driving to Milwaukee. If that fails, we are set to reschedule in two weeks. So we are all set for whatever comes our way right now. Doesn't mean we like any of this, but we are ready for it.
I did a class yesterday for my folks in NJ. 1pm - 5pm so I started around noon with getting prepped and ready. Sucked working late, but filled my day. B went and got more paint and finished painting the basement. Next up are the floors down there and things will be looking good.
New cat is adjusting well. She is happy to have a forever home. She is cuddling and purring away. The other two are suspicious something is going on but they don't know what yet. Amusing.
Time to shower and brave the elements. Wish me luck in getting to WI today.
