I didn't sleep. I have been working straight through the night. It's been a rough, weird 24 hours.

Yesterday during the day, I worked on this custom training class from about 7 until noon. I then took a nap since I knew I would be up late teaching the Japan class. I had dinner with B, then came down to teach.

Class went well, no issues there. 15 students from Japan, Korea, and Taiwan. It was actually kind of cool having a broad group like that.

The issue came around 11pm. My coworker texted me to tell me she had news. I called her at midnight. We then spent the next two hours talking about the shit storm that is approaching. Seems our boss has officially quit and will be out by the end of May. Fuck me. We are both worried and scared of what's to come. Needless to say I was too worked up after that call to sleep. I started working on stuff while I was on the phone with her and just kept going.

I don't know what I am going to do. Based on our conversation some major changes may be coming down and I won't be interested. I guess after almost 10 years, it's time for me to look for a new job. Fuck. I don't want to go back to corporate america. But I am faced with no choice. Time to seriously job hunt in fucking Michigan.

I may never sleep again.
