I'm returning that drive. Still had nothing but trouble with it yesterday. If I had read the reviews closer I would have seen some of the same issues I was having. Basically the reviews say it's great if you're using it as removable storage. But to use it as an actual drive people had the same issues I was having. Lockups, overheating, random disconnects. Check, check, and check. For those of you looking for an external SSD avoid the Samsung T7. No bueno. I got everything copied off of it, again, and got an RMA from Amazon. It goes back to the UPS store today to get shipped back. I am just going to use the cheaper, slower, but one hell of a lot more stable WD external.
It's thundering outside. Probably raining too. Didn't look. Just hear it down here in my cave. Prety moderate weather scheduled for next week. High 70s at worst. But this morning we have thunder and rain until 10am. Good. My yard needs the water.
Did chores yesterday in between the drive moving. The cat threw up on one of the blankets, deal with that. Water change on the big tank. Water changes on all the axie tanks. Baked cookies. Made ribs for dinner. Cleaned the house. Productive if somewhat boring day. More of the same on the schedule for today.
