Not much new to report. My buddy was on Jeopardy last night. Came in second thank to Mary Higgins Clark. He would have been a lot closer to winning if he hadn't missed that daily double. Still, he made it on which is a bigger accomplishment than most of us can claim. More power to him!
Taught all day. Have 5 students. Four of whom are sharp, smart, and having a blast. The other one is another one of those fucking people who doesn't belong in an advanced class. Whatever. I just drive the truck. We finished up the day around 4:30 and I moved on.
Leftover night as we have a fridge full of food. From leftover stew to the remains of the Chinese food. We made a decent dent in it last night. Makes me happy.
Not much else going on. The world sucks. Things that are obvious to the rest of us seem to be out of the mental grasp of certain senators. We have lawyers who can't figure out the cat filter, and the Mandalorian apparently has lost a major star. Don't know the details on that yet, but these days, whatever. Everyone is canceled. Just stay in your houses and don't talk to anyone else please.
Oh and my coworker has covid. Got it through his kid who got it from going to fucking volleyball practice. Nope. No fucking sympathy here. Why is your kid still going to a fucking sports game practice? That's just stupid. End of discussion. Life isn't normal people. Stop trying to fucking pretend it is. Idiots.
