Over the years there have been many games that have tried to claim they are the next "Civilization killer!". A bold statement for sure. Most of them never live up to the hype. Well, last week one came out that may actually be able to knock Civ down. It's called Humankind and let me tell you, it's pretty damn good. I have been playing Civ since the first release. Which for those of you keeping track was 30 years ago. Jeez. Regardless, Humankind is the first one I have played that really does knock Civ down. It's not without flaws, but I played for 5 hours yesterday not even realizing five hours had gone by. It's truly a one more turn type of game. I would highly recommend it.
But yeah, that was the bulk of my day. Watched a bunch of Full Metal Alchemist as well. Ate random leftovers for dinner. Went to bed. Didn't leave the house which is fine by me. It was hot yesterday and it's supposed to be hotter today. Coming into that truly hot part of summer here with no rain in the forecast. The thunderstorms of early summer are done. Now it's just bleh. Deal with this until October. Then the snow will come again and the cycle of crap starts all over.
Can you believe it's September already? I mean one more week, but still. Fucking crazy. Next thing you know it will be 2025. Let that sink in.
