I had a rough time waking up this morning. Had one of those "why did I set an alarm, it's sunday, no wait, it's not sunday, it's monday, dammit, I do need to get up" moments. I had a rough time sleeping too which didn't help. Kept waking up for some reason. So today is off to a pretty tricky start. Lovely way to start a new week. Good job me.
Okay, first things first. The following contains spoilers. If you haven't seen Eternals, skip ahead. As you might have guessed from the previous sentence, I watched Eternals yesterday. I was not impressed. First off, it dragged. A lot. Second, wow Marvel, you're digging pretty deep into the C-list comics at this point aren't you? Shang Chi, Eternals. THE BLACK KNIGHT? EROS?? I mean come on. Outside nerds like me, who has heard of these people? But that's not even my biggest issue. The story was convoluted, there were two many characters to keep track of, it kept jumping timelines, where was everyone else in the universe, and so on. I just was meh the whole movie. Which is a shame as there were some good actors and there were moments, but overall, not an exciting movie.
In addition to giving up 2 hours of my life to that movie, I also swept the basement, vacuumed the basement and my office, cleaned the cat room, and did some laundry. We did rehome a second axie yesterday. About 35 minutes each way to the meeting point. We are down to five and last night's feeds were so much faster. We have also been able to consolidate tanks and now only have a 75 and a 50 running. That makes me happy.
Made a roast for dinner which turned out great. Had it with little red potatoes and broccoli. Dinner was good and generated an appropriate amount of leftovers. After dinner we gave one of the cats a bath because she was a little stinky poopy head.
Overall a busy but productive Sunday. Now let's see how this week goes. I have one day of teaching on Thursday but multiple meetings strewn throughout the week. Today there is nothing pressing and I have to figure out what to do to occupy my time. I hate that. But it is what it is.
