Betty White, Bob Saget. That's how we started the year. Then yesterday I get a double whammy - first I wake up to Meat Loaf dead and later in the afternoon, Louie Anderson. Seriously? I talked about this with my therapist yesterday. The older you get, the more this news is harder to take.
Went grocery shopping, had therapy, four hours of meetings. Called it a week around 4pm. We ordered in Indian for dinner. It was meh. One thing the Bay Area has over lots of other places is good indian. Ironically though as you know, the best Indian food I have ever had has been in Australia and Amsterdam. Go figure.
Helped B with a blanket they're working on. Played some video games. Went to bed.
Today B is taking a drive with a friend. They are driving around "the thumb" of MI. I asked what is the destination. None. Where are you stopping? Don't know. Huh?? It's a midwest thing. They seeing driving as an enjoyable task where as us West Coast people see driving as a means to an end and not in anyway a pleasant one. I confirmed this by asking 2 mid-westerners and two west coasters. The mid-westerners all said oh yeah, we would just get in the car and drive with no place in mind. The west coasters both said WTF? WHY WOULD YOU DRIVE IF YOU DON'T HAVE TO?? Guess which camp I fall into. I don't mind though. I am going to use the time to clean the house which is something I've been wanting to do. And I mean like CLEAN. Floors, baseboards, walls kind of clean. Sad, but I am looking forward to it. I'm old. Yep.
