Well we did it! We are all (99%) moved into the new place. I say 99% because I am at the old place right now typing away. I had to be here this morning for car service to pick me up for the airport and I left this computer here. There's also some random shit we left behind like garbage and the cat. We took one cat yesterday to let her get used to the new place first and then I am bringing my cat next Saturday. Don't worry. She has food, a bed, etc. Basically a mini office still for her to be in.
We got up at 5, checked in for my flight (confirmed 1st class on both flight todays thank you very much), started loading at 6, the pros came at 7 to do the major stuff and we had that truck packed and done by 8:30. We hit the new place a little before 10 and had everything unloaded by 11:15. I ordered pizza for everyone and then B and I undertook the task of unpacking. At 6 we had a good list of things we needed like hangers, shoe rack, and screws. Off to the walmart. I can't believe we are going in there, but it's the closest and cheapest and it's 24 hours. Sigh. Whatever it works.
I left around 8 to come back here. She has a busy week ahead of her trying to get as much done without me as possible but I asked her to focus on a couple of specific areas to make it easy when I get there on Saturday. Yes, I am gone a whole week this time which really sucks.
I will be teaching away starting tomorrow. Today, I travel. No news on the whole drama from last weekend. Let's keep it that way.
