Happy Father's Day. I know many of my readers, like myself, have a mixed opinion, if not downright apathy, about today, therefore we will leave it to that.
Had an interesting day yesterday. Got out of the house which was good. Because it's the weekend I knew if I didn't have something planned I would sit around doing nothing essentially. I tried to leave late, I honestly did. I got on the road around 8am, arrived up here at 11. Had a decent lunch at Duke's seafood, then wandered around the mall for a while. I got to the hotel about 1:30. Luckily my room was ready. I took a nap and relaxed.
At a little after 5 my friends came and picked me up. The whole point of this trip was to get an AC unit from them. I got it. I don't know how well it's going to work, but I got it. I may end up using it in the bedroom instead of the office. We shall see. If I don't need it, I will pay it forward by giving it to B's cousin when she moves to Portland in August.
We had a nice dinner at a sushi place they like. Finished up and they dropped me off at the hotel around 7:30. I then proceeded to watch a couple episodes of Orphan Black, talk to B on the phone, and went to bed around 10.
Now this morning I am off to breakfast in five minutes, then I am going to come back up, putz around on the computer, then off to see my sister. Warning, I will be there earlier than you would like. I will still have a two hour drive and want to be home by noon at the latest. Sorry.
