It is so fucking hot in here right now. God I hate heat. The air is so stale and flat. No movement, nothing. And it's not that horrible outside, it's the air flow in here. Nothing is moving. I need to leave fans on at night when I go to bed. Keep the air moving. It's not going to get any better this week. 90s a couple of days. Fuck this time of year. Skinny people have it easier in weather like this. Fuck them.

As I figured, we didn't do much of anything yesterday. I moved my wine fridge, did laundry, wrapped a box for the cats to have a playhouse, read, finished watching the 3% - hold up, let's discuss that for a minute. That show pissed me off. As with most dystopian future shows, movies, or books, there's always one question that typically doesn't get answered and it drives me nuts - WHAT ABOUT THE REST OF THE WORLD?? At least that one series had the decency to answer that by explaining that this city was an experiment (Divergent). 3% is a Brazilian show taking place in that area. The whole premise is your either good enough to live on this magical island or you live in poverty in the mainland with the other 97% of the people. Except... you know how big Brazil is right? Comparatively speaking, it's pretty tiny. WHY DON"T THE INLAND PEOPLE JUST LEAVE? GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. If you don't explain to me why that isn't an option, then my brain is just going to fixate on that. Hunger Games is another where you have to ask WHAT ABOUT THE REST OF THE WORLD again. The 100. Uglies. All of these things fail to address that. Drives me nuts.

Anyway, once B woke up we worked on getting her squared away for tomorrow's trip. For dinner we went to Roxy's Hawaiian. We allowed ourselves rice and macaroni salad and damn it was so good. Got back, watched some tv in bed together and I went to sleep around 11. Now to check her in for her flight in 10 minutes. Final prep today and then we head to the airport in 23 hours.
