Why is it on days I have to get up early, there's drama in the middle of the night? B wakes me at 11:30pm to show me that there's something going on in the trees. We are currently under a severe thunderstorm warning (I can hear it outside right now). Apparently some tree branches fell last night and are laying across multiple lines in the trees causing sparking and arcing. We first called the fire department who were like "meh, it's fine. it will just smoke and make noise. call dte". Okay. DTE called. Their response? "meh, we will check it out some time in the next 7 days." In other words, no one cared that there appears to be a baby fire going on in my trees. I get it. In theory, the objects in question should just arc and smoke until they are vaporized. But it's still scary especially when it's the middle of the night. I haven't looked this morning but hopefully the branches in question did vaporize themselves in the last four hours.
Went to B's dad's house for the majority of yesterday. Uncles, aunts, cousins, grandparents. Largest gathering I have been at in 18 months. There were total about 13 people counting kids and us so not huge, but enough. The grandparents brought chicken from Mr. Chicken and that shit was good. We were there quite a while and when we got home B took their typical 5 hour nap. I played video games, watched some tv. Ate leftover chicken we brought home.
I did get multiple father's day messages which was nice.
That's about it. I have 4 FULL days of classes this week. 7:30 - 3:30 today and thursday which is very nice, 9-5 Tues/Weds. Only 1 week until new fridge and two weeks until I leave. WOOO!
