In order to make sure I didn't have a repeat of the whole "why did you unfriend" me thing, I sent an email yesterday to 34 people. I got back replies from 30 of them. All of them were okay with being unfriended. Surprising was the amount of people who said they wanted to do the same thing but just couldn't. Um, why not? This is why I was never one of those people with 300, 400, or even 500+ "friends". If I didn't actually know you in real life, I wasn't going to connect with you. I see people where it says they have 800 friends and it's like really? Who knows that many people directly. That's just looking for an audience. I will have my list down to about 28 today and will work on getting rid of those soon enough. The remaining people are ones who either didn't respond to my email or I don't have an email for them. I will need to figure out how to reach them. But once it's done, it's done. No more.
Taught day one of my class. Three students but this is an advanced class and I am grateful for the small class size. A few more would have been nice. I am a little nervous about how thin my schedule is for the next few weeks. We were supposed to have more stuff from the group in NJ but they keep moving things around. I will talk to my boss on Friday to see what I can do to fill in some of the gaps.
After class I went out to the store looking for a filter for our humidifier. I went to 5 different stores and at the last one got so frustrated I ended up just buying a new one. I made sure to buy one that has no filter so as to never be in this situation again. I spent almost 90 minutes driving around trying to find a damn filter.
Got back, made dinner. Had some nice mahi with little potatoes and a salad. Watched some tv with B, went to bed around 10. That's about it. One more day until payday and then we are off on a weekend getaway. Excited about that!
