I have been slowly deleting people from Facebook in an attempt to separate myself from that site. B was abrupt about her discontinuing usage of it and just dropped her account. I am doing it in steps to be able to handle a situation like I woke up to this morning. I received what a late night message from someone who didn't see any of my posts regarding my deletion of my Instagram account and my eventual deletion of my FB account. They thought it was against them personally for something that happened back in December. While I was pissed about what happened back then, my anger was at another individual who is peripherally attached to the person who sent me the message. By leaving my account active, I was able to respond to them. Hopefully they will get my message and understand that my actions were driven by other reasons. Why am I going into all this here? Because in case any of YOU find yourselves unfriended from me on FB you know why. It's in an effort to whittle down THAT account, not a personal attack. People I have alternate methods of reaching such as phone, email, text, twitter, etc I am less worried about disconnecting from on there. You know how to get a hold of me. I am keeping the less technical savvy people or the ones I don't want to offend. Mainly so I don't have to deal with messages like I received this morning.
So B's birthday was yesterday and we didn't do a whole lot per her own desire. She watched movies of her choice, napped, and we had Taco Bell as it was what she wanted. I spent the day teaching. Decent class. Only one person was a bit of a bump. It was a long class running all the way up to the end of day.
Not much else going on. Two day class up next, payday on Friday thank goodness. I had to pay out $600 to insurance which put a dent in things as it was the beginning of the month. Can't wait until Friday to get things back in balance. This weekend we are going out of town as part 2 of B's birthday. That should be a fun time. Going to Astoria for the weekend. Leaving early saturday morning, heading to Tillamook first, then Astoria. On Sunday taking the coast back and stopping in Seaside to feed seals. A little mini vacation to chase away the winter blues and blahs.
