As far as travel days go yesterday wasn't bad. Mostly because it was a quick flight with no stops. I had an okay seat but it was a full flight and there were a lot of children on it for some reason. There were some technical issues along the way. First Alaska's computers were down which led to a delay in boarding. That wasn't so bad but it did delay us for about 20 minutes. Let me back up. Got up at 4:30, my driver arrived at 7. Yes, I got up way too early. My alarm was still set for classes from last week and I forgot to adjust it. I sat around for a bit doing nothing. Got to the airport about 7:30, got through security but not until they ran my bag three times. That pissed me off. I use the same bag every trip with the same things in it. Why was it "suspicious" this trip? Nothing different in there buttholes. Got to the club and my current Admiral's club card is expired. Not my status mind you. I renewed it, but the card is expired. SO I had to dig through emails to find my renewal. Luckily I saved it. Smart move on my part. Got to my gate, dealt with the delay and got in my seat.
The bigger issue was Avis' computers were also down. I ended up in a Toyota Camry which I hate. I then 45 minutes after getting my car, get an email saying my car is ready. I had to call Avis to make sure they synched their shit up so I wasn't flagged as being in a stolen car. That was fun.
Got to the hotel around 2, got my room, and ironed. Then I decided to pick up pizza to have food for the week. I now have lunch/dinner for the whole time I am here. One thing done at least.
Didn't do much else. Stayed in the room. Started watching Westworld. Made it through the first two episodes. Went to bed around 9 as I was tired. Slept okay. A lot of tossing and turning. Too dry as usual in the room.
I don't have to be onsite until about 8 this morning, but I also don't want to sit in traffic. I am going to go down at 6 for breakfast and leave right after. I would rather sit in a parking lot than sit on the freeway. Got to get my head into onsite training mode. Let's go brain. Let's go.
