Y6 D53

Three days down, two to go. Yesterday was mind numbing. More meetings, a lot of sitting and waiting, but we finished up early - around 3. I even was able to walk back to the hotel for lunch time with B. That was nice. It's been interesting having her on the road with me. I don't really do anything exciting but at the same time, it's been much less lonely than normal.

After work I came back and got some stuff for B from the CrapMart next door. Side note, I love how I have used that word enough times that it no longer gets flagged as a misspelling. Just saying. Anyway, picked her up some stuff as she is still not 100% healthy and then I took a short nap.

I found out yesterday during the day that one of my co-workers and his family own a Swenson's Ice Cream parlor. One of the last around. I told him I was going to go in for dinner to support them and we did. Dinner was pretty good. I had a french dip burger, B had a chef salad, and then we both had ice cream for dessert. Now, I figured he would comp the ice cream or something, but no, they picked up the entire bill. Wow. Thank you very much. I had $4 in cash on me, so I apologized that's all I had and left it as a tip.

After that B and I headed to one of the casinos. Not to gamble but to walk around and hit the gift shops. We are trying to find something for a friend but nothing jumped out at us. We got back to the hotel around 8 right as a freak hailstorm started. It was 90 degrees out and hailing. WTF weather? That was interesting. Best part was there was rain in our room. We called the guy at the desk - 'hello. it's raining in our room'. He came up with some towels and checked it out. Maintenance is coming today to handle it. We found it more funny than anything else.

I took a relaxing bath and then B and I went to bed. Slept like a log again last night which was wonderful.

Off to another day of blah blah blah blah blah...
