I have almost reached the point of not knowing what day it is any more. That blissful point when you are on vacation and the day of the week no longer matters. Almost. Why because I still had to deal with a conference call and emails yesterday which gently reminded me it's a work day. Oh well. Came close to the true nirvana. Today I am 'working' but there's a beauty in taking a vacation and having it end on a Thursday. Not a whole lot people can schedule for you to do on a Friday. I have one call I am supposed to have with a client, do some paperwork, and pack for my next trip on Sunday. That's the extent of my 'working' today.
Got all the laundry done yesterday. B got all of her clothes packed which is impressive since she is still sicker than heck and spent most of the day coughing her lungs out. I had a late lunch with my boss which was whatever. We talked about my upcoming travel and his recent travel to Spain. Poor baby. I have little pity for him these days. Plus I had to leave to make my client call and since he was late (as usual) we didn't have much time to chat.
Had a steak for dinner which was decent. I am not buying groceries since we will be gone from Sunday-Saturday and most of it would go to waste.
We decided to finish watching Agents of Shield last night. We binge watched 5 episodes straight which was fun. We are done for the season finally. We had been waiting until I saw Winter Solider. I finally caught the last 10 minutes I was missing thanks to American Airlines. I think the show ended well but I can see how it hasn't done well with viewers. Unless you are keeping track of everything in the Marvel universe it's easy to get lost real quick. I had to pause through at least 3 of the 5 episodes to explain to B why something was happening. A little annoying but it didn't bother me.
We also started the process of 'selling' her car to me so we can get it registered here. She was going to keep it under MI plates, but she has to show proof of insurance to do that. For her to insure it, she was looking at $250+ a month. For me to insure it, it's $265 a year. Gee, big difference. Once we have it current, then we can sell it or use it as a trade-in for something else. Today we are getting it smog checked to make sure that won't be a problem.
That's about the extent of the day. I did a lot of media re-organizing and have all the machines up to date. Dumped my camera from the trip and posted pictures. I don't know why I bother putting shit on Facebook. People are just rude assholes about things. Whatever.
I need to poop.
