Made it home in 3:45 yesterday. Another good drive home. It was a rough drive though. I was extremely sleepy the whole way home. Didn't help that B was sleeping the whole way and I was left amusing myself. Up early today again. But that's to check in for my flight. We got home around 8:30 and B went right back to bed. I started to but then I just got overwhelmed with stuff needing to be done. I ended up unpacking, doing laundry, doing my timesheet, expense report, dishes, cleaning the house up, organizing media files, and a bunch of other little things. Next thing you know it's noon. B finally woke up and wanted lunch. Unfortunately since we haven't been home there were literally no groceries in this house. To the grocery store we went. Now she has enough food to last while I am gone next week. Not a ton, but enough. Around 4 I finally took my nap of the day. Hold on, need to check in for my flight, be right back...
Dammit too early. Couple more minutes. Ugh.
Anyway, there was this baby shower thing last night and neither of us wanted to go because we were both way too tired to be out drinking and socializing. We did instead have some friends stop by unplanned and ended up just talking and playing cards last night. We got to be social without leaving the house which was nice. They hadn't been invited to the baby shower anyway so there was no fear we were going to hurt anyone's feelings by them being over. We sat around until about 11 and then went to bed.
A busy day for sure but it was nice to be home. Even if my total time at home is less than two days. Okay, now I should be able to check in...
