Y6 D109

For the first time since my injury, my leg isn't killing me. It's not 100% yet, but I don't feel the same tightness and pain I have been feeling. This is a good thing. Yesterday was a pretty good day but not so much the night.

I got to the client way too early. The start time was 9 and I thought it was 8 so I ended up sitting in their lobby for almost 45 minutes. Not a big deal, but not a lot of fun either. Once class started things went well. We got through the remainder of the material for one class and decided to start the second after lunch. The second class is technically a 3 day class but we are jamming it into 2 days. At least this way we have 2.5 days and should be able to get through quite a bit. Let's see how today goes.

After class I headed back to the hotel and my A/C wasn't working. I told the front desk then went for a walk while they fixed it. There's a thrift store right near my hotel - a really nice one at that - and I found a messenger bag for $4 that I am bringing back with me. Why? Because everyone wants the Canadian shit man. I have it stuffed full of chips and candy bars that are uniquely Canadian. After I dropped the bag off, I went to a restaurant that was supposed to be really good. Well. The food was great. The ambience and the service? Not so much. I had foie gras poutine which was killer. I was about to order my entree when B texted me to tell me the internet was down. This was around 6:15. I went back to the hotel and spent the next 2 hours on a remote chat with "Ralph" trying to troubleshoot from Canada. Oh boy that was fun. In the end we got it working. But my night was shot. I ended up taking a walk to 7-11 to get all the candy bars everyone wants but I was in a pissy mood. Came back to the room and read until about 10:30.

That was my day. Obviously I slept in as I don't want to be there too early this time. I have almost two hours before class starts and it only takes me 10 minutes to walk. I won't leave here for another 90 minutes or so.

Two more days and I get to go home.

On a semi-related note - apparently our friends are having some marital difficulty as the birthday party I am supposed to go Saturday night was canceled followed by a rash of vague random facebook posts by the wife. Whatever. I would rather relax at home Saturday night anyway.
