I'm okay this morning. Just okay. I am in a mood. Just a flat annoyed kind of mood. 6am. Welcome to my life.
Taught yesterday and had to deal with an issue. Around noon our fucking neighbor across from us decided it was a good time to share their fucking mariachi techno music with all of OR. Seriously. I could FEEL it through two walls, a closed door, and a 20 foot gap between units. It was distracting the fuck out of me. At 1pm when I had a break I went and pounded on their door. No answer. So I called the office. I won't tolerate that kind of noise on a weekday. This is the third time in the two weeks we have been here that this has happened with them. Have some common courtesy dick head. These are the same neighbors that stole B's package right before we got here. I do not like these people. Luckily they did turn it down and I was able to finish class with no issues. We finished up around 2:30.
I spent the rest of the afternoon hanging stuff. To me that's the last part of 'moving in' some place. It's the one thing that says 'yep, I am staying here'. It's like putting something personal on a work desk. It makes a space yours. I got our Beauty and the Beast stained glass hung, my Brophy piece in the bedroom, a mirror, and my Tiki Room piece in the office all hung up. All that's left is the mirror in the dining room. That ones harder as I need to make sure it is perfectly level and it's a two person job. B was busy reading and I didn't want to disturb her as she has been trying to finish a book for the last week. She had 6% left and I wanted to let her finish.
When I was done we had dinner. She made a crockpot chicken fajita soup which came out really nice. After dinner we went for a walk around the neighborhood. Then we started in on laundry. The first big laundry since we moved. It's still going. The last load just went into the dryer. Yay more clothes to put away.
This is the first weekend here with no plans. Let's see how we use the time.
