Yesterday I was worried about the AC costing an arm and a leg. Boy was I wrong. It will cost an arm, a leg, a left nut, a kidney, and possibly a spleen. Good times.
Did stuff around the house until 6:30; copied files, did laundry, caught up on emails, cleaned cat shit, etc. At 6:30 I couldn't see straight due to lack of sleep. Fell asleep on the couch until 8. Woke B up and we went and dropped off the car. Got back, hung around, and then AC guy came.
Sigh.
The fan motor is seizing up because the unit is 22 years old. Options? Replace fan for $1500 but the whole system may still die. Replace the whole thing which can run $3500+. We have their whole house guy coming out on Monday to discuss. Plus I called two other people to get quotes from them. Yeah. Life sucks.
Went for pizza last night because fuck it.
Came back, tried to watch Black Mirror. Got bored in the first 10 minutes.
Went to bed at 10:30 and finally got some decent sleep. No plans for this weekend thank goodness. But I do need to vacuum and do some yard work. I can handle that.
Does look like my idea of a team summit is coming together. That's a good thing.
