I slept for 5 hours straight without waking up in a hotel room! Amazing! How? I took B's advice on something. Since I drove here, she suggested I take my pillow with me. Smartest thing ever. Using my pillow instead of the shitty hotel pillows made a huge difference. I actually got a solid night's sleep.
I did have some interesting dreams. I can't quite remember the last one, but I clearly remember one with one of my old old bosses. We were doing coke together and he was screwing around and causing things to spill and I was getting pissed off at him. Dream or memory flashback, who can say.
Our marketing person is pissing me off again. She keeps asking us to be ready to deliver stupid ass webinars and we keep telling her we are 100% booked and don't have time for her shit. I can't wait until we are face to face next month so I can have some 'words' with her.
Drive was uneventful mind some heavy rain at times. Made it in about 3.5 hours. The GPS took me a weird way this time because I am downtown instead of in the suburbs. Lots of long stretches of nothing with random little towns where you have to go from 60 to 35 in an instant. With lots of local cops sitting right there on the border waiting for a fuck up. How can that be legal? I saw something yesterday which was interesting. These new cop cars where they have lights to turn on or off that display the polie info on the side. Let's the car go from regula rto 'undercover' in an instant. Because police here aren't serving and protecting. They're harassing and collecting funds. Fuck them.
Had dinner at a bad italian place. Service was horrible. Food was mediocre. Prices wrong. But this area shuts down after 5 and a ton of stuff was closed on Monday. I hope to have better luck tonight.
Three days. 15 students. Pouring rain. Fun times ahead.
