Y6 D133

Woo! I slept in. Well okay, I still only got 4.5 hours sleep, but hey, it's better than 3.5 hours sleep which is when I originally woke up.

Very long day yesterday. We got up and B was craving pancakes so we decided to go to IHOP. Busiest IHOP ever, especially at 10am on a Saturday. On a Sunday I can see lines out the door, but on a Saturday? Luckily the majority of people in front of us were families and larger parties and we were able to get a table in about 10 minutes. After breakfast we decided to hit both Halloween City and Spirit to start checking out options for Halloween. That ended up leaving me very drained. The heel of my foot is driving me up a wall right now and part of the problem is how cracked and hard it is. I caught a piece of skin on my chair the other day and it hurt so bad. By the time we got home I was limping hard.

We got home around 1 and slept until 3:30. We then got ready to head out. We wanted to go to IKEA pre-show and have dinner with friends so we had to get ready pretty early. By them time we both were ready it was a little after 5 and we were on the road around 5:30. It took us almost until 7 to get to IKEA thanks to traffic but it was okay as we had major time to kill until the show. IKEA was PACKED for some weird reason. We did find the bookcase we wanted at a reasonable price which was good. We then met our friends at a mexican place around 8. Had a nice dinner but still had two hours to kill. We ended up at CVS followed by Target where I got some stuff for my foot. I am hoping it helps. You are supposed to use it twice a day for two weeks for it to really work. I tend to not be diligent about things like this but given the amount of pain I am in, I think I will be good. We rolled up at the theater around 10. The show itself went pretty well. A little bit of drama with one of the audience members but nothing involving us. An OLD cast member, like from 15 years ago, was in the audience and she was little drunk, a little loud, and a little too critical of us. She was talked to by our director which almost turned nasty. Luckily nothing major went down, but there was a moment where we though it could go either way.

Got the truck loaded up, hit the road around 3, and made it home a little after 4. Got the bookcase inside and hit bed.

Today is bookcase building and relaxing. I just put a corned beef in the slow cooker for dinner tonight. The weather is beautiful and life is pretty okay.

I don't think I have mentioned our newest family members. Apparently we have 'adopted' a stray cat and her kittens. All week they have been living on our porch. The two kittens are so cute. We set up a box with towels in it for them. I just fed them and they are happily chomping down. See? Life is okay.
