I actually have a lot on my mind this morning. Not anything heavy, just a bunch of stuff from yesterday I want to share. Let's start with one of the important things. My surgery has been moved from the 18th to Monday the 13th. My boss really needs me to deliver the training in TN and they will not back down from a delivery date now of the 27th. I told him I would have to call my doctor to get full approval on that. When I called my doctor at break, they told me they had four openings on Monday if I wanted to push things up. I told them I would call them back and confirm shortly. After reaching out to a couple of students and adjusting next week's classes, it was done. I now go in 7:45am Monday morning. Done and done.
It also now looks like I will be going to TN and get that last $128 I need for another year of status. Whew. That will help. I will finish up the year without about 60k miles flown and $6k spent on American.
In other news, I am pissed off at Amazon right now. Not them so much as their local delivery guy. He is regularly late, damaged one box yesterday, and is just a putz. I have like six boxes arriving today and I a not confident everything will arrive on time. Or in one piece. This worries me.
Taught a new group of students yesterday. One guy out of the three really doesn't belong in this class. I am really worried about how he will make it through today. Yesterday was hard enough for him and today we get into 'expert' level topics. He will be lost. Sigh. But it's my last day this week so yay.
While I was teaching B went to the thrift store and found some great shirts for herself. I love when she spends $30 and comes home with like 5 bags of stuff. Score. We went back out after class and I found a winter jacket I really like for only $25. Up here and after last year's snow, I learned the value of having a good winter coat. Most run upwards of $100 so I am happy with $25.
Had meatballs for dinner, watched some TV, went to bed around 10. That's all for now I think. Just have to get through this last day of teaching late.
