Huzzah! The heat has broke!! It's only supposed to be 85 today. Down from the high 90s. Thank goodness. I have windows open right now and there's an actual breeze. Of course everything smells like smoke because we're finally getting the residue from the fires. Yesterday morning while I was teaching B got up because she thought I was cooking bacon but much to her sadness it was just the smell of smoke in the air. Oops. Sorry.
Taught my class then dealt with those idiots in SoCal again. How do people with zero technical skills end up in technical positions of seniority like them? It's disgusting. They are some of the dumbest people I have ever met when it comes to this sort of thing. SMH. I dealt with that for like 2 hours after teaching from 6am. Fun times.
We had baked chicken with foil steamed veggies last night. Very good stuff. B started in on cleaning out her closet and had a ton of stuff to take to recycling, donation, and garbage. Too bad it was too hot out for me to take any of it. I finally got my clothes I left behind in MI so I can pack for my next trip this weekend. I finally get a break from the heat just to go to fucking FL. Bleh.
Today starts a 3 day class with 3 students. It should be okay. At least this has been a very full week as will next week. Can't complain about that.
