I woke up early this morning. Too late to go back to sleep, too early to be up. Up wins though. I would rather be up a little early and be awake versus trying to fall back to sleep and fuck up and oversleep. Oh well.
Taught day 1 of 3 yesterday. Good group. Three of them are from the same company and have actually taken the class before. They are here because it's been two years and they forgot everything. That's what happens when you take a class then don't get to apply any of it. Heck, I would be in the same boat if I tried to use any of the stuff I learned 3 years ago in the SPSS class I took. I never used or applied any of it. Most of it is gone from my head. The fourth student is one I know from teaching his other people. Remember when I went to Ohio 3 times in two months? That client. He and I talked offline and they are basically still at ground zero from when I was there two years ago. Management changes, priority shifts, etc have left them no farther along than they were back then. This is why I don't work in the corporate world. Nothing ever gets fucking done. Years go by and you're still at square one. That shit drives me up a wall.
After class I watched OITNB. I am almost done. The second to last episode of season 4 was a mind fucker. I won't spoil it for anyone, but that whole cast deserves a damn Emmy for that episode. I have never been so moved for fictional characters. B made meatballs and egg noodles for dinner. After dinner we went to one park and it was deserted. Like scary empty. We went to our other and there were only 40 people there compared to 85-90 just a couple weeks ago. I think with the bugs in the game people are getting frustrated. We're holding on and going to keep playing. For me it's the OCD part of me having to 'catch them all'. You know how I get. I can't just put it aside until I have done everything in my power to try to accomplish the goal.
Came back around 9, and we discovered that evil bitch lady's old apartment was unlocked. We did some tests. We both took turns being in the apartment and walking around, flushing toilets, etc. What we discovered is we're not noisy, the cat is. When she runs from one end to the other you can totally hear it. You can also hear the toilet flush and kitchen cabinets. Things to be mindful of in the future. No one is moving in yet but now we know. We can be conscious of our noise level. Weird standing in essentially our own place but empty.
Went to bed around 10. Heat is coming today. Hopefully we'll be okay.
