The skies have opened and the rain is pouring down. Thank goodness it's not cold enough to turn into snow, but it may turn into ice and hail which is much much worse. But it is definitely coming down in buckets outside.
Had a decent day yesterday. Worked on my stuff in the morning, paid bills, then we went and had a birthday lunch with a friend. We took him to our favorite hot dog place which turned into a bit of an adventure. They were a bit frazzled due to one employee the night before deciding to quit and leaving everything a mess for them when they came in. Then their computers decided it was update time. We ended up walking to an ATM to grab them some cash but they were totally cool about everything and comped us like 25% of the bill because of how long and how much of a hassle it was. We were all good though. No one was angry or frustrated. Shit just happens. Karma man, it's real.
After lunch we took him bowling. B's step mom runs a bowling alley (she is second in command below the owner) and we got to bowl three games for free. Hurt my finger as always but we had fun.
Got back home around 3 something, B took a nap, I ordered us pizza for dinner. Then around 7:30 B headed out with her cousin to that shadow cast of Princess Bride. She got home around 1am and said she had fun.
Me, I stayed in and watched some TV. I didn't go because I was supposed to go to a concert Sunday. I say supposed because last night I got notice it was cancelled. That fucking sucks. I was looking forward to leaving the house and now, nope. Pretty bummed about it to be honest. It was my first real thing in a while. Add to that I found out Neil Peart died of brain cancer last night. Wow. Good times. I did have a good Rush listen with B out of the house. I cranked up some Tom Sawyer and reminisced.
I don't think we have anything on the docket for today. We shall see.
