Those buckets of rain I mentioned yesterday continued throughout the whole day and well into the evening. There were some cities where it was turning into ice and sleet and they shut down completely. All non-essential services were suspended. It wasn't quite so bad here, but I can tell it turned bad during the night because there is a layer of ice outside. Just ice. Not snow, but a shine. The kind of shine that cars and people go sliding on.

We dealt with water in the basement yesterday. Notice I am not saying flooding. There were plenty of people yesterday dealing with real flooding and I won't over blow what we had. One of B's friends has almost 2 inches of water in their house so what we had was no means a big deal. We had a small pool in the basement because our french drain outside was blocked and the one in the basement was blocked. Once we remedied those issues and mopped up the water, all was good. It was all isolated to the laundry room where the drain is and wasn't that horrible to deal with at all.

We did venture out in the evening for Indian food and groceries. That was our wild Saturday night. Woo baby.

Not sure what we're doing today. Probably nothing.
