Boy oh boy. I overslept. A lot. Apparently I was tired. I woke up an hour ago and was too groggy to get up. I didn't sleep on any of my flights yesterday so I was running on empty. Luckily I have nothing pressing this morning. I have an 11am meeting but otherwise I am good.
I left the hotel around 2 because internet died. I think that happened to me there before. Got to the terminal around 2:40 and sat. Got through security and boarded at 4:50. We were 20 minutes delayed out of Seattle so I freaked out a bit. Tickets for Pearl Jam went on sale 10am PST and we were going to land at 9:45 with the delay. Luckily they made up the time and we ended up getting in 2 minutes early. I got off the plane and headed to the club.
Got setup, logged into Ticketmaster and waited. 10am, boom. Got my tickets. I am going to Pearl Jam in April in Oakland. Row 14, seats 1 & 2. Only $100 a ticket. Not bad comparatively speaking. I mean don't get me wrong, I remember when $50 for a ticket was ridiculous. Yep. Me being a grandpa.
Still had 2 hours to kill until my flight. Waited, boarded, landed at 6:30pm EST. Driver picked me up because B was at the hospital. Her grandfather didn't get in to surgery until after 4. By the time they got him out it was close to 8. They all went and had some food and she got home around 9:30. Exhausting day for her but he made it out of surgery and everything is looking good.
Meanwhile, I unpacked, went through mail, took a shower, and waited. We went to bed around 11.
So one meeting today, laundry, clean the fish tank this weekend, shovel some snow, and that's that.
New show recommendation: Picard. It rocks.
