So yesterday turned out to be um, interesting. Yeah, let's go with that. It started with me having to drive the friend, again, suffered through a 4 hour meeting, flowed into a Shrek audience participation in a theater, and ended with us driving through the start of a major snow storm at midnight. See? Interesting.

As I mentioned, I was off in the morning. I managed to get through that by the end of the day. But it was the least of my issues for the day. Drove the friend, got groceries at 6:15 in the morning, came back, finished my new class (yay me), and then waited for the meeting.

I had asked for literally a 10 minute catch up phone call to discuss what had worked well in the last months. This turned into 7 people and four hours. Sigh. I did voice this on the meeting when it devolved into sales and marketing discussions for over an hour. I snapped. I was like no, this isn't why we're here. There are at least three of us on this call who give zero fucks about this. Back to the real reason we're here. At just before 4pm we finished. Ugh.

We had dinner, then we drove to Ann Arbor for a 9:30pm showing of Shrek. It was an audience participation kind of showing. So basically the whole audience of 20-30 somethings quoted the whole movie for 90 minutes. Fun for B, tolerable for me. Don't get me wrong, Shrek holds up after 2 decades but the audience stuff was meh. It's one thing when it's Rocky, it's another when it's Shrek. One is callbacks, one is people just quoting and singing. Different to me.

A snowstorm was scheduled to hit us today (there's six inches of snow on the ground that fell in the last six hours) and it was just starting as we left the theater around 11:15. Ann Arbor is a 35 minute drive with no issues, so it took us almost an hour because of the visibility and ice. Good times.

Got home, unwound, went to bed around 1:30. I will say I enjoyed getting out of the house. That part was good.

Now because of the six inches of snow on the ground, we aren't going anywhere today. Nope. Staying in all day. Just hope we keep power all day.
