Big day for everyone! B made it almost 800 miles and just left Lincoln NE. The goal today is Evanston WY which will put them right on the edge of UT. Three days should do it. I am impressed. Granted, if it were me, I am so stubborn I would have gone at least 1200 miles yesterday. Would have been sore, cranky, and tired, but I would have done 1200 miles. Regardless, for two inexperienced drivers/adventurers, her and her friend have made excellent time. Well done!

As for me, I had a bit of a panic in the morning. The new client I dealt with on Monday wants to have some formal training done before we get into the mentoring part. Good. Not a problem. I gave him some available dates including yesterday and today. Well I guess he misunderstood and I got an email around 9 from our sales guy saying we were going to do one of the formal trainings yesterday and today. Um, okay? I need servers, I need material, I need to mentally prepare. Called my server guy, got things situated, and the sales guy comes back "oh, I messed up. He's going to CALL you today to set dates". Fucker. For the record? The client never called me either. Asswipe.

You know what's funny? B is on her way and I am not stressed. I am stressed because I don't have enough done not because someone is about to move in with me and my whole life is about to change. Nope. That part I am good with for some reason. I am not worried about her age, her finding a job, taking care of her car. Nope. All that will sort it self out. I am worried because I need to get a storage tub and a carpet cleaner.

Speaking of that, I GOT MY CAR BACK! WHEE! They called around 11 and I walked down. Of course the card was declined on the first try. Sigh. My boss paid the corporate card on Friday but because it came from a CBT transaction and was a large amount, there was a 3 day hold on it. Of course. Got him on the phone, he called the bank, we got it squared away. That meant I could go to Target and the grocery store!! We now have food. I also have two storage bins, but need a third.

I also went into the office and complained about the 3:07am sprinkler that woke me up yesterday. I also asked them to come and replace my dishwasher. Someone is coming today to look at it. Let's see what happens there.

Played some Sims. Made a steak for dinner. Kid hung out with KBF last night. They went out and had In n Out. They were supposed to have band practice but their guitarist flaked. Did I mention they started a band? Yeah. KBF on drums, the kid on vocal, and they found a guitarist on craigslist. Whatever works.

Went to bed around 11. I don't ALWAYS go to bed early as someone recently implied. Heck more times than not I am up until the wee hours. Ah yes laddie, the wee hours.

Huh. I seem to be in a good mood today. Go figure.
