In a MUCH better mood yesterday? Why? Because MY IRS TROUBLES ARE OVER. I got my check from the gubment! The amount of the check is irrelevant to be honest. It could have been a $4 check and I would be fucking happy. Seriously. This check means the IRS intercepted my state refund and applied it to the $956 I owed them which means BAM no more federal debt. That's the important part of all this.

Now, the check was more than $4 obviously. Yes, I would be happy regardless, but I am fucking REALLY happy. I can pay off a credit card IN FULL as soon as it clears. I can pay off a second one possibly as well. I need to check balances.

PLUS I will have enough left over to get a birthday gift for myself and pay for my birthday Disney trip.

Yeah, much better day.

The kid didn't have as good a day. Her friend was supposed to come visit but she totally flaked. This isn't the first time she has done this either. But the kid in a real shitty mood all day. I empathize with her on that. It's always hard when you make plans and then someone ends up being an idiot.

I made her pancakes that said "XXX is cool XXX is dumb". Man I love squeeze bottles. That made her smile a little. Then we went out and ran some errands together. Bought a video game - Injustice - and we played together which also made her feel better. This was before the check came too. I knew the game would make her happy so I decided fuck it and bought it anyway. We actually made it through the entire story mode last night. There's still a lot to do in the game, missions and the like, but together we alternated characters and played all the way through. Was just trying to make her forget how dumb her friend is. I think it helped.

That was my day. Notice no work? Yeah. I was 'on call' to deliver a training but that fell through. Today I am doing a webinar and then the rest of the week training normal hours. No guilt on yesterday. I enjoyed it.

3 weeks until B is here. Holy shit.
