Y6 D180

So good to be home. VERY long day yesterday. Ended up being up for 23.5 hours total. Got up, drove to the airport, got my new boarding passes, waited, got my first flight with no issues. I did actually sleep on that flight. Unfortunately, it was a 38 minute flight.

Found my gate, waited, boarded a few minutes late but not enough for it to be a problem, and was off to home. Had the standard omelette breakfast, slept again for about an hour, and was at my home airport about 8 minutes behind schedule. Not bad.

Drove home and was home around 12:30. Of course B needed us to run errands which we did. Thanks to my paycheck being okay, we were finally able to stock up on just as both of us put it "stuff" we have been out of for a while - tissues, cleaning supplies, etc. Got back home around 3, put things away, did kitty litter, hung a picture, rehung a closet door that needed fixing, then relaxed on the couch for a little while. I decided neither of us was cooking and we went off to our favorite Italian place. Food was great, but on the way home we had some drama with B's family.

Let me fill in some extra info real quick. Thursday night B went to a friend's house to go see the premiere of Mockingjay with a bunch of our other friends. She was so excited about it. But since she was worried about her car, on Wednesday she had taken it to a garage to get looked at finally. He plugged it into their machine and was able to determine she needed an oil change (duh), a new gas cap (ah! the check engine light issue!), and it looked like it was in fact the fuel pump which would be a couple hundred dollars. Okay, cool. One thing he missed was she had a headlight out which didn't reveal itself until she was driving home at 1am from the movie on a very dark stretch of road. She didn't notice before because there were other cars around.

Alright, all that was because after dinner, I was heading to O'Reilly's to pick up a couple of the afore mentioned items, namely the gas cap and headlight. As we were pulling into the parking lot, she gets a text from her grandfather - "your dad and his bitch are up to it again". WTF? She decided to wait outside and call him while I went into the store. I come out and she is in tears. Fuck. Okay, what happened?

Her mom and dad are having the worst divorce ever. He is a child who somehow found out the mother's new address (where she has only lived for a week), stalked outside to see his kids even though it wasn't his time, it caused a big blowout and now they can't be at the wedding together because of restraining orders and if this one can't go then this whole side of the family won't go and as her grandfather put it "If that cunt is there I sure as hell won't be". Seriously people? Grow the fuck up. B has had enough. Today she is calling her grandparents and telling them the wedding is off unless they can act like adults. This should start a huge chain reaction.

Got home, she dealt with that (like calling her mom to get the whole story) while I dealt with timesheets and expense reports so I won't have to do it today. In the end, I made it until 11pm. B has been up until 3 the last couple of nights and she stayed up to watch TV. I don't know what time she came to bed.

I am so happy to be home and have home shit to deal with today.
